There looks a good opportunity here
http://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing/ante-post-racing/national-hunt/sefton-novices-hurdle/winner
Yanworth the ante post fav is weak on the machine with enough (not fortunes) happy to lay it at 5/2+. This suggests to me he misses this. The obvious one would be BALLYDINE comes here fresh trainers time of year and the blue on oddschecker tonight suggests a likely runner.
As unsure of final entries/field size suggest a small win bet at
SUGGEST £20 BALLYDINE 8S various (not nrnb)
Ladbrokes limited to £6
Bet365 no go
Betfair sports no go
stan james no go
will need help to do this at 8-1
£20 booked with me, I am sure i have some in the kitty for TFT but cannot remember how much. Will have a look in my notes later when i am back home and confirm.
£20 Win only 8/1 B365 booked.
Thanks Callum.
Let me know if I owe you any money from previous bets, & when you want this settled - now, or after the event, entirely up to you.
I am pretty sure i owe you, will need to check back and will let you know.

we don't have access to any of the 5 place books at 8-1
these are
skybet
bet365
betfair sportsbook
boyle
paddy
betbright
i could get 4 places at 8-1 with betfred.
the only 6 places book has ducked it completely 13-2 victor
it will have to be betfred 4 places unless any help is forthcoming
might 5-6 places be more widespread by friday, with the main price move likely to be saturday morning?
I can do 50 E/W on Betfair if required.
thanks, booked.
Confirmed placed.
Thanks Dad, appreciate this.
When do you want settling? I can do so now if you wish, or after the Event, up to you.
Dad?
After is fine.

The price was only there until noon unfortunately but thanks for the offer.

Sorry Ralph, missed this earlier, happy to (try to) help if still needed.
I drove to my local Hills in Sherwood around 11.15 this morning as I couldn't find anyone to put it on for me and I suspected the price I wanted would only last until noon.
Despite a fierce hailstorm I risked parking on a double-yellow line and fought the elements armed only with a flimsy brolly for the 100 yard walk.
Imagine my chagrin when I discovered the shop had been closed-down and the windows whitewashed - fortunately the lily was not gilded by a parking ticket.

How many bets do you reckon a bookie would take on different players in the Masters before it looks a bit suss and they restrict you? Is it OK to bet on 2 or 3 players or should you only stick to one per bookie?

Sure 2 or 3 is fine. I have approached double figures at bookies before. I wouldn't go nuts at Shy though. They are pretty trigger happy with restrictions at the best of times (allegedly)

I backed 12 horses ew once with Totesport on the same account in a 17 runner hcap in my early arbing days back in 2006. Incredibly all 12 were unplaced. Being the results orientated firm they are they invited me to a VIP race day in their box at Haydock the following weekend. A week later the account was closed. Back as many as you want as long as they don't win you will be fine. Can't imagine any firm taking any notice of your action on the Masters if you bet 20 runners tbh unless you are doing it to take out at least £5k a runner. If you just betting in £20s or £50s it wouldn't even touch the radar this weekend.

Perhaps "proud Dad" would have been better? That was my meaning.

Evening Tighty.
Tomorrow Baghdatis plays Verdasco at the Houston ATP. I have mentioned before that these are not your normal clay courts, and I make Baghdatis favourite to win this, but no one else does.
Suggest £15 Baghdatis @ 6/4 with sportingbet or else the 11/8 around is fine.
