Yes they do. You could argue that they'd be more vulnerable at the back if Stones actually played. With Coleman, Jagielka and Oviedo injured & Mori banned, it's possible they'll field a couple from the academy.

Frankly, though, even with a fully fit squad, Everton haven't been playing with any confidence or stability at the back for several months. Seemingly incapable of locking up even a 2 goal lead.

I'm an Evertonian, and whilst I'd love to see them win tomorrow and I hate saying it, I just can't see them even making a game of it against an average Man Utd.

Stones is a clown and a liability.  Everton went 1-0 up in injury time at Watford and rather than boot the ball out for throw from the kick off and secure a half time lead he decides to put the keeper under pressure with a terrible back pass and he has to slice it out for a corner.  Goal.  1-1.  Stones will always put his own pass culture above the team.

Why has his performances, or our perception of them, declined so much this season?

He was a major target for Chelsea last season with a huge price tag, now others have joined the auction. And yet, if Media reports are true, he's been poor this season.

Surely it can't be that he is doing so deliberately, to help engineer a move away from Everton, can it?

When he first went to Everton they had Alan stubbs and David weir as coaches.  Two very solid and defenders who defended first.

Doubt he is getting that daily advice any longer, I still think he will come back ball playing defenders are still a rarity in the British game.

He'll be off to City in the Summer and never look back.

https://m.oddschecker.com/m/football/english/non-league/national-league-south/margate-v-hemel-hempstead/winner

Fair to say books have cottoned on! Hemel on away from home.

Still some very strange quotes coming from margate and their gaffer. None of the team today will be there next season which is never a great start

Had a look at Oxford v Hartlepool today.

Craig Hignett has done a cracking job at Hartlepool and they have produced some excellent results.

They play Oxford away who need the win going for automatic promotion. They seem to be stumbling a little with inconsistent results, the pressure may be affecting them.

Hartlepool on the other hand are playing with freedom and confidence, Hignett says :

“I’m looking forward to seeing how the lads performance because Oxford are one of the best teams in the division and they have been all season.

“They will want to go up automatically so there might be a few nerves but there’s no pressure on us – we can just go there, enjoy the day, have a real go and see where it takes us.

“We’ve got a real consistency about us now; we all know what we’re doing and what our jobs are and I fancy us against anyone in this league if we set out our stall and play the way we can.

“What I don’t want is for the season to peter out; I want us to have a say, I want us to and spoil parties and that will be the message to the players.”

Hartlepool at 17/2 with BFSB.

I think they should be a lower price.

Anyone got a view?

Shame to let the bet365 gold cup go off without a bet. I used to go to this meeting every year and you do see some odd results at the back end of the season, but we get 5 places, so will give it a go.

I have backed 4 so far, but I think Dynaste is the best value.  He has had a long season which is a negative, but he seems to be best in the spring.  He got outpaced at Aintree behind the imperious Cue Card and he is getting on a bit.  But everything was outpaced yhat day and he finished well.  Worries aside he is 28/1 and this race should be run at a nicer pace for the old boy.

If you want on with me, you can  have 28/1 5 places a tenner each way.  I can't give you more.

Higgy has done brilliantly there and has them playing good stuff, at times.

Their form is still wildly inconsistent though, and they ship quite a few goals.

I couldn't say with any confidence they will go there and win.

Some funny ones on the fixed odds today. I have been opposing hibs for weeks. There league form is pretty poor with the exception of Wednesday's win over rangers who were still celebrating the old firm result. The 0-0 semi final against Dundee Utd was hardly epic.

9/2 Morton at home just looks ridiculous. Morton beat them 3-0 at Easter Road less than two months ago. They might win but I can't have this as a sensible price. I think that's worth £10 of anyone's money. Some 19/4 available but 9/2 with ladbrokes for the conventional

Eurovision time!

The first semi, which is much the stronger of the two, will almost certainly be won by Russia.

The second semi is interesting though and the prices to win it are way out of line with the outright prices. Also the top two in the market can be opposed imo.

Ukraine has been uneasy in the outright market for a few weeks and this sort of sing will either crush or bomb with the voting public. Australia were allowed in last year as a supposed one-off and I'm not sure hardcore voters will love them being back in.

It's 2-1 Ukraine, 2-1 Aussies (3-1 with 32Red), 6 Latvia, Serbia, 8 Bugaria, 20 Poland, 40 Bar.

In the outright betting, it's 16 Australia, 29 Serbia, 30 Ukraine, Latvia, 34 Bulgaria, 55 Poland.

There's no reason at all why the two markets shouldn't tally. These anomalies aren't uncommon in the ESC and tend to get ironed out in the week before the comp.

It would be easy to justify backing any of Serbia, Latvia, Bulgaria and Poland to win the semi, but dutching events like this is never great, so I've just backed Bulgaria at 8-1. It's a solid song and the price has steadily come down in the past few weeks.

Thread can have £25 of my bet (added to tab).
