I think I read somewhere that an extra SCOOP event had been added halfway through, (after SCOOP had begun) & after the betting market was formed.

Is that correct, & if so, does the original market stand?

Might just be the first time that word has appeared on Fred. Very good. Shame I needed to look it up to learn what it means. Not sure I'll ever use it though, it's a bugger to spell correctly.

The French open tennis starts today. I backed Thiem for this months ago, I still fancy him for this but the draw has not been kind. A bet on him to win his quarter may be the better way to go as I don't fancy Nadal at all. I looked at the price for a Djokovic/ Murray final but 2-1 is just awful. So for the moment I am looking to individual matches for our fun and merriment.

No underdog stands out as a bet for me today. I want to go against Isner but his opponent, Millman, doesn't often play on clay and when he does he is woeful. The other player I want to be against is Karlovic. Just back from injury his form on clay is terrible. Other than a huge serve he has nothing to offer. He plays the Spaniard Montanes, who has beaten some decent clay courters in the past and got to the semifinal of Marrakech this season. I would have Montanes as a decent favourite today so 9/10 is good.

Suggest £20 Montanes @ 9/10 with Hills.

When the market opened it was 5/1 Mercier 8/1 danzer then a bunch at 14/1 and some 33/1 rags. They were 5/2 Mercier 5/1 Danzer when the market was pulled and they were laying each of them to lose £5k

Seems reasonable to conclude that with the big movements they're likely to be losing chunks if Mercier wins it. Wouldn't surprise me if they tried to use the alteration to the schedule to weasel out of paying. In the press release they said that they'd be providing regular updates on their blog but there has only been one, could see them being pretty over the whole coup.

Don't think they would have a chance voiding - even IBAS would rule against them. 

I was more curious that if the betting market was formed on X number of events, then they add an event, it changes things, or can. The extra event can turn a winning bet into a loser, surely?

There's definitely a chance that this happens, but if it did I wouldn't pursue it. It increases to total number of events by <2% so I'd just take it on the chin. I can't say with certainty given past actions that stars would extend me the same courtesy and pay up no arguments if the shoe ends up being on the other foot
