Can I suggest that Fred unloads a clip on Aberdeen next week to beat Rangers in the early kick off on Sunday.  There will be much needle in this game both on and off the park.  I can't believe the books have the rangers in as the favourite. The rangers have only taken 2 points off teams that finished in the top 6 last season Aberdeen after a slow start seem to be getting back to the team that performed so well for much of last season.

23/10 with VC if it can be done is an absolute steal.  Whatever Fred's maximum bet is should be on this.  I doubt they will be this price next Sunday.

If there are concerns about maxing this one out then perhaps a more cautious option would be taking Aberdeen on the AH.

what is the lowest price to take on this?

15/8 bet365 best

I'll recommend a cheeky £10 on Northampton @ 10/1 against Man Utd in the League Cup on Wednesday, just for the lols.
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/efl-cup/northampton-v-man-utd/winner
Northampton just lost their first game in 31 league matches at the weekend, albeit most of those were in League 2 last year.
Obviously United have lost their last 3 but the fact that it is a Wednesday game as opposed to a Tuesday game and with United playing the early match on Saturday against a decent again Leicester side, I don't think Mourinho can afford to play anything like a full strength side when we know Leicester won't on the Tuesday.
Obviously the media will go to town if United lose 4 in a row (particularly to Northampton) but I don't think Mourinho would be too bothered about not playing in the League Cup. Regardless of the Northampton result, if they lose to Leicester, the pressure will really rise. That's the priority.
Man United reserves are better players than the Northampton XI but they won't be match fit, won't be motivated and hey, we're getting 10/1.

better double check this, now you've slept on it.

10/1 is still available, although i am not for much of the day

if i am not around place it if you want to and let us know

Alistair Brownlee now just 8/1 to win Sports Personality of the Year. Was 80/1 this morning.

Become quite a competitive ehat really

Alastair Brownlee now generally around 5/1, even 7/2 in one spot.

Be the best thing ever if he won SPOTY. It's entirely possible, too.  No disrespect to Mr Murrray or Mo, but Alastair would be something of a game changer.

Can Leicester really be 5.4 shots against Man U? You'd think it was Leicester who'd just had 3 straight defeats from those odds!

this bet is a winner

cricket   top wicket taker double, sussex, glam   magoffin, hogan   6/1   15

Wagg is not playing for Glam in the final game so Hogan wins the glamorgan side of the double

Coral have some interesting season-long cricket markets priced up. They have batsman groups of 6 and bowler groups of 4 for each county.

Couple of prices stand out in the bowling groups (wickets taken) :

Hogan at 5/4 against Wagg, Meschede and Salter
Magoffin at 5/4 against Shahzad, Robinson and Briggs

Hogan last season took 48 wickets in 14 games (missed 2 on paternity leave). That's a pretty average return but still beat Wagg (45 in 16), Meschede (40 in 16 games) and Salter (25 in 12). Hogan has spent the winter playing for his Australian state side (W.A) and is 4th top wicket taker in Sheffield shield cricket (37 in 9 games), so he comes into the season in good form. Wagg's been around for years, he isn't likely to suddenly improve. Meschede is a decent cricketer, but more an all-rounder and useful in limited overs. Salter is a young spinner who averages less than 2 wickets a game, he's unlikely to challenge.

Magoffin is favourite to be the top wicket taker in the league. He took 69 wickets in Div 1 last year, and should be just as prolific in Div 2 this year. Briggs only played 8 county championship games last year and may get more cricket this year after his move to Sussex from Hampshire , but he only managed 19 wickets and Magoffin should be clear of him by mid-summer. Robinson got 46 in 11 games, but has had disciplinary issues in the past and isn't guaranteed of a spot in the side. Shahzad took 22 in 5 games, but is injury prone hence why he only played 5 games. Magoffin is knocking on a bit (36 years old now) but has just signed a new 2-year deal so must feel he has plenty of cricket left in him.

I would say only injuries would stop these from copping, but both of my picks aren't spring chickens. Magoffin didn't play any List "A" cricket last year, and it may be that these 2 are saved for red-ball cricket this year, which would be an advantage.

is it worth the risk tying up the money for 5 months at 4/1 the double?

Think this is the bet - nice one Nelly, thank you.

Seem to recall I had a little misclick adventure along the way with this one, too, so at least I'm out of it. .

Scared to mention it in case others take offence. Heaven forbid you can enjoy a bet on here now... Wink Wink

Either way, Jimbo needs to ride better than he  has the last couple of days, with plenty of favs going south under his wardship.

I think it was 5000-1 fwiw

Oddschecker shows Bet Victor going 33/1 Northampton but if you go on the site, they are going 80/1 Northampton! Not sure what is going on there.

Could you imagine if he'd just run past his brother and finished ahead of him?

It was lovely, but it wasn't Derek Redmond and his dad.
