How the fuck is Chris Sutton a pundit?!

He's a shit stirrer but I'd say having played at a top level in more than one league is probably how.

Yeh all those competitive games he played against the likes of Motherwell, Dunfermline and Inverness is what really helped him get a job in punditry

Wayhey I had under 12 hours for the standard ignorant comment on Scottish football.

Guess playing against (and wins against most of) Porto, Juve, Valencia, Blackburn, Liverpool, Barca, Bayern, Man U, AC Milan etc was nothing either.

IMO Sutton's just as qualified as Shearer, Murphy and the rest of the nodding dogs that sit on the BBC's furniture if you're going to base it on his playing career.

But ffs why do they want a cantankerous, narrow-minded, obstinate curmudgeon constantly & obtusely arguing with poor old Chappers and Jason Mohammed? It's not good TV.

I like the fact that he argues his position, makes the others think a bit harder before spouting platitudes.

He's been a pundit for a couple of years in Scotland, and in that time I've agreed with him or vehemently disagreed - but he's not been a nodding dog.

Fearful of having my everyday account shut/restricted, I've just covered a part of the Kieffer Moore bet.

ahead of Barca v Juve tonight, what do we think of 13/8 Juve to win the group in a two horse race?

Any views on Carlisle at Coventry?

I backed them this morning at 3/1 now 11/4. Still looks a value bet to me.

Coventry have been awful. Did manage to beat Port Vale in last game but couldn't beat 10 man Chesterfield previously and have had a poor start to season.

Typical. Rotherham score four in the first half and our boy gets none of them.

Take advantage of Pogba being out for 6 weeks and get on KDB for player of the season?

Pep is waxing lyrical about him, and if you've seen him play so far you'll know why.

Best price is with shy at 9s (for those that can), wouldn't turn my nose up at 8s with BV if Fred wanted a dabble.

We not already on KDB at 20/1+ pre season?  Pretty sure i put it up at 20's?    Maybe i only put Jesus up for player of the season at 40/1 when he was single figures to win the golden boot.  Good shout anyway as he looks different class yet again this season.

Getting my Singapore GP bet suggestions in early this week because there's a lot of value out there.

Race Winner/Fastest in FP1/Fastest Lap/Pole Position - Sebastian Vettel @ 6/4 (all four bets) with various. Mercedes rarely seem to have it all go their way on this circuit. The "pundits" put this down to straight line speed being less of a factor on this circuit - which supposedly favours the Ferrari. I'm not convinced by the logic, but I do agree with the premise. I can see Sebastian dominating this weekend. Suggest £50 each bet. £200 total.

https://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-one/singapore-grand-prix/pole-position

Podium Finish - Daniel Ricciardo @ 6/5 with various. A large part of this bet depends on how good Red Bull's high downforce package is, but from what I have seen this season, they should be in for a strong performance this weekend. This, in combination with the street circuit nature and Daniel's ability to scoop podiums when chaos is around him, makes anything over EVS a bet. Suggest £20.

Fastest Lap - Sergio Perez @ 50/1 and Esteban Ocon @ 125/1 with BetStars. The Force India car has unique and innovative update on the car this weekend to add downforce to the rear of the car. We've never seen anything like this before so I really have no idea how much benefit it will provide; perhaps they will shock the grid. That small potential, coupled with their usual pace on street circuits due to efficient tyre and sidepod airflow, makes these bets viable. It's also worth noting that earlier this season Sergio Perez got the fastest lap in Monaco - a similar circuit to Singapore. Suggest £5 each driver.

Thanks for the recs Peter. Hills have Vettel pole/fastest lap/race winner treble at 6.5, so not sure if that's appealing for people looking to back all those (2.5, 2.63 and 2.5 are the best prices individually).

I'll have a look later, & get on if possible - currently, all markets are suspended, as Practice 1 has already commenced. Prices may change later, of course.

There's a very interesting situation in the ladies' golf this week in France with the first day's scores voided and the event reduced to 54 holes.

The lady who is currently leading on -6 Sung Hyun Park and is generally a ~2/1 shot IR, but she was 6 OVER par in yesterday's voided round and her price had drifted out to 200/1.

If you had taken some of the 200/1 what would your position be now? If the answer is no bet then should all bets placed on a 72-hole event be voided?

All bets stand has to be the call. Not great for those of us on In Gee Chun in a big way. Sung Hyung Park was +6 and is a really serious contender now. Looks an OK bet now at 5/2 imo.
