Quick update on Wichita State. They played three games in the week leading up to Christmas, dropping one to Oklahoma (now ranked 12) and beating Arkansas State and FGCU. Next game is against Connecticut on Saturday.

The Shockers moved down from 3 to 8 after the loss to Oklahoma so it will be interesting to see how they rebound over the coming couple of weeks.

Hi blondes.

Stoke are away at Chelsea this weekend, and go into the game with a few injury concerns at the back; Shawcross, Martins-Indi & Pieters all "doubtful", the young lad Tom Edwards picked up a knock and Zouma isn't eligible to play against his parent club. Alongside these issues our defence has been pretty shocking all season/ year, conceding the most goals out of any PL team all campaign. We've only played 2 of the "big" teams away from home this season and have been smashed in both of these, 7-2 away at Man city and 5-1 away at spurs. Chuck this in with a 4-0 loss when we played Chelsea at home and it points you in the direction of a spanking for our lads this weekend.

I'm not sure the best way to approach this, whether it be from a total Chelsea goals standpoint or handicap market. I've linked the oddchecker for the handicap results below. I really like the 4/1 offered on Chelsea -3 with Betfair. I'd recommend £20 if Fred could get on at this price. I would help but can't access Betfair from overseas.

Carvalhal to Swansea is an extraordinary development, purely on the basis that it confirms they had no actual plan when they sacked Clement?

Would agree with this.  zouma was a big miss in the home game and Hughes might play this game like a freeroll now he has got 4 points from the last 2 games and go for it rather than trying to shut up shop to protect his job from a good hiding.  He probably thinks he is safe now for the foreseeable future and will go there trying to get a result.

How he has got that gig is beyond me.

Carlos is the most defensive coach i’ve seen ever.

He plays a rigid 4-4-2 system with 2 banks of 4 sat deep. He keeps the first half of games very tight, he looks to pinch 1-0 wins even against weaker opponents.

To give you some idea about how defensive he is, Wednesday had 3 shots on target in the whole of November.

Strange old game. His press conferences are entertaining though  Cheesy

Probably a cheap appointment the main reason.
Funnily enough Clements the most defensive coach I've ever seen, this season has been dire.
I thought you were playing some decent stuff 2 seasons ago, maybe I'm mistaken ?

To be fair he did well and got results in first season. Last year he played his very defensive style and we got into the play offs but his defensive style had been worked out and he refused to change it. Teams knew if they packed midfield and out muscled us then we were there for the taking.

Can’t see him changing his style at Swansea.

I can see him getting some 1-0 wins. Against anyone top half I can see half time draw, full time win for opposition being a profitable bet.

Oh my!

Paddy Power are still a quarter four spots on L1 top scorer and are way biggest price about Will Grigg @ 40-1.

10-1 a place is golden here now he's finally back to fitness and playing for a top-end Championship side in the league below.

A hat-trick away at Oxford the other day took him on to seven and he's always been one to follow when he gets hot.

There's a chance both Marriott and Kieffer will leave in the window, in which case the win part of the bet also becomes live.

Thread can have £20EW of mine.

Thanks Mr W.

Don't know if Tighty is around right now, so I'll take that for Fred if I may.

Taylor 5/6

Any value in the world number 3?
