MLB opening day, anyone fancy anything over the season? Going to try and stick with it this year and hopefully get more knowledgeable.

Am planning to watch Cubs @ Marlins at 5.40, & then Astros @ Rangers @ 8.35.

Not had a bet though, or not yet.

Have had a small bet on cubs win/over 6.5 match runs at even money..

Hold out on the Palace bet as Zaha and Tomkins are doubts from the press conference today. For those already on I think they are starting anyway, as it looks a bit like Hodgson is overhyping things. When the teamsheet is released if Zaha Tomkins and Sakho are starting, a bet at 2.6+ for palace not to lose i think is value.

IPL begins in a week

betting is a heap https://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/india/ipl/indian-premier-league/winner

e/w 1/3 1,2

sunrisers made the play offs last year but lost to KKR when a rain affected match meant they were on the wrong side of D/L and KKR had a target of 48 in 5 overs

they have walked out to 4th in the market because Warner is banned, Kane Williamson captains instead

but it is the bowling attack that is the angle here

Bowling is always the most overlooked aspect of T20 cricket. By retaining Rashid Khan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar they have arguably the best overseas bowler and the best domestic bowler in the IPL. Supported by up-and-coming Siddharth Kaul and Basil Thampi they lead a strong attack

Rashid is a superstar Afghan leggie. He was the key to the Strikers winning the BBL. After 10 regular season games, Rashid had taken 17 wickets and recorded an economy rate of just 5.52. No bowler had previously finished a BBL season with an economy rate of less than six and picked up at least 15 wickets. Has a wonderful googly that no one really picks

He is only 19yo now (already captain of his country) and last year in his debut in the IPL finished the tournament as the sixth-highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets from 14 matches

they retained Rashid Khan for 9 Crore using their RTM card (this allows teams to skip the bidding process and simply match the price of winning bid). Despite the relatively high price tag, Rashid Khan offers huge value above and beyond as the premier T20 bowler in the world

we've seen the likes of Narine (before action concerns) take teams very deep in the IPL

Markets go for big teams, batting line ups etc and the value in 13/2 or 6/1 each way is clear to me here

we can pick holes in every team with the possible exception of Mumbai (Sunrisers batting depth, Chennai an old team, KKR only a 19 player squad, KingsXI the bowling line up, Rajasthan minus smith, Delhi don't have match winning spin and RCB are always too short in the market)but i can't have SRH outside the top three in the market

recommendation £50 e/w Sunrisers IPL 2018 13/2 Bet365

Don't bet 1/3 1,2 ew in a 9/2 the field 8 runner race.  If you can get 1/2 1,2 place terms that's just about fine.  1/3 1,2 is setting fire to money in this market.   Bet win only then wait for the firms to offer a 'to reach the final' market and you will easily exceed the 2/1 you are getting backing e/w at 6/1.

You will probably be able to get 10/3 in a place to reach the final when the market appears.
