Just got back and I have half-a-dozen missed calls from an unknown number...
Have you been in an accident recently that wasn't your fault
Heard your question on the recent Arseblog podcast Ralph. Nice to get read out.
Another joke end to a transfer window for us. Where the hell do they get £90m from as a valuation anyway? We bid £30m for him at the start of the window, now it's £90m? You just know the "We tried to sign players in the window" line is coming up.

We signed Lacazette and Kolasinac who are both quality players, sold Ox for an incredible £40M and we kept Alexis.
In a vacuum this would appear to be a good transfer window as we have strengthened in both attack and defence.
If the moonies hadn't been so arrogant and made their sensible offer a couple of days earlier then they would have got Alexis and we would have replaced him with Lemar.
The shambolic, spineless, and hapless performance last weekend aided by the ever-present media frenzy appears to have clouded many people's judgement.

I'm not sure what judgement has been clouded?
It's all well and good making these signings but if your Manager then leaves them on the bench until it's too late, and then replaces the guy you want your new guy to link up with, with the new guy, it's hardly a great start.

This. The guy signed to score goals for us (and a record signing) was left out in one of the big games of the season. Still not beaten a top 6 side away from home for two and a half years
Two and a half years.......

Could take this ticket if we had just scrapped to second, lost the title by a point and none of our rivals had strengthened. As it is, top 6 is the new top 4 and I'll liderally eat my hat if we don't end up in a scrap with Everton and possibly others to finish 6th. In many ways I don't care if I'm right or wrong if we somehow manage to start playing decent football again - no evidence of this in the first 3 games.

Kroenke and the board dictate the club's financial affairs/transfer budget and are the root of Arsenal's problems but the buck always stops with Arsene.
It's pretty obvious that AW had been instructed to raise funds for any further transfers by selling - hence Ox being showcased in the side for the first three games. It is also pretty obvious that AW's "socialist" pay-scale for members of the 1st team squad has been an abject failure as we have had to move players on who are no longer needed at vastly reduced prices due to their high wages, or not move them on at all with Debuchy being a prime example.
I also think AFC might well be being used as a cash-cow/guarantor/leverage to prop up struggling areas of Kroenke's franchise empire such as the new stadium for his NHL team.
It's just far too easy to blame AW for all of AFC's current shortcomings - I guess that's why StanK pays him £8M pa.

Arsenal into 100/1 on betfair to go down. The machine is never wrong. Still plenty of 750/1 available to pay for next summer's holiday.

Not sure what is more biazzre Arsenal 100/1 to go down or Huddersfield at 600/1 to win the league on betfair!

What do you reckon is the 'right' price Arsenal to go down?

God knows. Supply/Demand issues are at play on the exchange in spots like this as there are way more people wanting to back it than lay it for time value of money reasons. Firms don't have these issues as they don't tie up any capital laying them at 750/1. They are just such good flat track bullies to go down. Chelsea's disaster season was still comfortable mid table and it would be hard to see how they could have a much worse season than that. It's a world cup season as well so no matter how unmotivated players are to play for the club they are always playing for a spot in their countries squad. It must still be 1000/1+ surely in reality.

I think the 'right' price is several thousand-1. It's an interesting one. Just random punters looking for the next Leicester I guess and people having fun on TFT of course :-).

In turning down chelski's offer of £220k p/w. in favour of liverpoo's £120k p/w. it is fair to say that the Ox has subsidized his transfer to the tune of ~£20M+.
How much is the market price of those Jurgen Klopp cuddles?

Cheaper to live in Toxteth than the kings road. Probably balances it out after living expenses.
