Thanks for all the funks and grats during Sunday!!

Apols for the TL;DR TR but this tourney was "A tale of two Queens on the River"

I late regged having left Essex at 5.45 and arrived at 8.30 joining the table of Re-entries including GreekJack, Mehmet, Junior Senior who I knew with 30k @ 2/400/25 and tbh I hated the table with everyone splashing around and making loose peels which caused me to lose the first pot we played when I got slow rolled by a random leaving us 23k going into 250/500 which was the bust out level for our first bullet.

A tight young guy raises to 1050 and Mehmet peels from the CO and we 3b to 3200 AQo from the BTN and it is just Mehmet with us to the flop which bought  two hearts and he donks out 6k, I had only played 1 pot on this table and 3b AI with BD flush and gutshot plus 2 overs hopefully and he had peeled  and despite the  turn we didnt catch and it was off to the cash desk to re-enter.

A new table of randoms awaited and I won the only pot I played in the rest of the 250/500 level but at 3/600/75 I got a full double through when I raised the CO to 1350 with  and the sb who was a young guy 3b to 3700, the bb who imo was capable 4b to 8300 and the action was back to us so as I am late 30's thought I would get some credit with a 5b and the BB had been the most active on the table since I had sat down so I 5b to 18200 and after the SB folded and a short dwell the BB set us all in for our last 12k and obv I can never fold for the rest.  We were in as good a shape as poss as he had  and the  sent us over 60k.

Next level 4/800/75 UTG limps as do 2 others and we try to thin the field with a raise to 3400 with  and after the UTG calls so do the others but we flop a dream  and now UTG wants to show some aggression leading 5800 from 25k back the HJ cold flats from 25k as well and we set them in with UTG getting out of the way and HJ calling off  which does not get the miracle required and we are north of 100k which we hovered at until 1/2000/300.

These next few levels enabled us to really build a stack for day 2 as once we were double average we could pressure the shorter stacks in good spots our first movement at this level when UTG2 raises to 4600 and the BTN shoves 45k and we look down at "The Beltons" or  Utg folds JJ face up and we win the flip vs AK despite the  Two Diamonds flop the  and  sends us to 160k and 2 hands later flop a set IP vs another deepstack to take us to 200k with the average at 88k.

Tikay had now joined our table and bought some further rungood to the stake after softening up the chap to his right in a SB vs BTN coup the next hand he declares "lets try again" and raises to 5200 at 12/2400/300 we look down at AJo in the SB and just flat flopping  and we check call a cbet of 6k turning 2p when the  rolls off and CC 15k and donk 20500 on the  two hearts river which gets raised to 60k, after a short dwell we call the extra 40k and he declares 2p showing A9.

Another 2 hands go by and we make it 5300 in the HJ with  and the BB who loves to peel does so and checks the  Two Diamonds flop to us we cb 6300 and he clicks it back to 113k with 48k back and after we set him in he soul reads me telling me I have10J or A8 and calls off having peeled  the  turn and blank river send us to 340k into level 14 where we win a small pot vs a shortie to take 360 into the last level of the day and first hand of 2/4000/500 make it 10500 with     UTG1 3bs quite big to 37500 from 250k and it folds back to us and I figure we need to 4b big enough to TID or get it in so 4B to 81000 and he sigh folds and for the rest of the level we pretty much fold junk as the shorties try to get it in and we end up bagging up 381500 to take into day 2

Day 2

We have a good table draw with Pos on the only guy with a big stack on our table and also a guy from Day 1 who was pretty laggy and after losing a small pot early against British Gas I played a hand of poker that could have meant we dont cash if my read on the player is wrong.

The laggy guy raises the CO to 11500 at 2500/5000/500 and we 3b  to 27k from the btn which the villain quickly calls to see the flop of  three diamonds which he checks and we fire a cbet of 36k which is called quickly the  is checked again and I figure this is a great barrel card and fire 56k which is called again and now I'm not loving life but a brick  Two Clubs hits the river and the villain now wants to donk 52k with a further 250 back but after a quick study of his body language he does not look comfortable and gives off a fairly reliable live tell that I picked up on Friday night in a pot with him and with 260 back myself dont really like flatting here as figure sometimes he randomly has a 6or8 so a hero call here still loses the pot and therefore after weighing it up Jam the river and he mucks  face up so I show him our bluff with the best hand to show we are here to play.

The same villain then bets 3 streets B v B and we are good with  on a  runout sending us over 625k again giving off his tell and not long after we are on the pure bubble when the following hand occurs.

Retired guy who seems to build stacks in this tourney raises UTG  and gets 3b by the SB and then 4b by the BB which is met with an immediate shove for 400k from the OR and a sighfull fold from the SB and after a short dwell the BB folds QQ face up to which the OR flips AA and the SB declared he folded KK which I believe but if AA flats the 4b he gets KK to jam and is in pretty good shape.  The very next hand I raise UTG2 to 13k with  and get flatted behind in 2 spots with the QQ guy from the previous hand now3b to 75k with 225 back and after a 4b from me we get it in but in bad shape as he has KK unluckily for him the door card is a Q and were upto 900k at 400k avg when we get a table break and sit tight for a couple of levels winning bits and bobs until a big WAL Eso has hand.

The blinds are 5/10000/1000 and UTG raises to 23k which is followed by a lady jamming 175 from the CO and the SB asking for a count and counts out the 175 whilst looking at the UTG stack which is similar to his at 250k, unfortunately little does he know but we have already seen two lovely black Aces in the BB and after making it look like we are ready to fold call his Jam and hold vs QKo and AKo to send us to 1.3million of the 7.7 in play and 15 players left.

Out table breaks immediately and we get the nut worst table from a players perspective as it holds Tommy Bingham, Glen Storey, Jon Gill, Dan Owston and probs 5 million of the 7.7 in play and these guys love the 3/4/5b wars where as the other table are all passively waiting for a double through.

After some chips moving around the table I had a "SPEW" that John Black would have proud of when i open to 35k at 8/16k/2k with  from the CO and Dan 3b's to 105 from 600k  4 hands earlier I won my first pot in 2 levels on this table to which he replied "who woke you up?" so he had noticed i was playing pretty snug plus he does have a good game himself and figured a 4b here would gt some respect, however in hindsight I should just fold and if I'm going to 4b should make it a tad bigger as it makes the 5b jams of his an immediate call instead of close and after I 4b to  235k he dwell jammed on me and I sighed it off and were up against QQ which didnt look amazing on the  two hearts board giving us a river sweat which bricked to knock us back to 600k which became worse when we then got moved to the other table where only brijesh Gas had 750k and the rest 200/250.

I managed to chip back up pretty quickly to 850 in good spots and 1 get there when it folds to me in the SB and I find A2o jamming into the BB who has 200k at the start of the hand and unluckily for the lady in question she found JJ which lost when the A hit the flop but then we double through a shortie who jams 11 bigs from the btn into our BB and we find 77 losing to K8o on the river and then lose a further 200k BvB to Brijesh with QQ vs K8 again giving up on the turn to a turn 3b and we make the 9 handed final table with 500k and one to get KO'd before the live stream final.

We mange to win 2 pots jamming over raises with our stack in good spots but with hands both times and make the FT with 600K after Jon Gill KO's 2 players in a cooler his 1010 v AA v 88 on a 10 6 3 board so we are 7 handed with over 1k locked up and 24 bb's on the FT and I picture a double through gets us back in the game as Jon has half the chips in play so the AVG is a bit false.

We get the double through vs Glen Storey  his btn vs our bb us holding 88 v 77 aipf to get back to 1.2million and from this point if I am brutally honest we were a bit of a card rack and any monkey with a Raise/Call button would have won except for 2 hands which were IMO well played where in the first we raise the btn with  and Jon 3b's the SB and folds to the 4b showing  which after Chinese Frankie on the rail urges me to show the bluff so we do and pretty soon we are 3 handed with Jon and myself holding 7.2 million of the 7.7 in play and I dont really wish to tangle too much with him obv but looking down at 55 in the SB make it 105 at 20/40k which Jon clicks back to 235 and we flat seeing a pretty decent flop of  and I love donking in this spot doing so to 225k which gets called and decide to CR the turn setting up a river shove which Jon gives up on the river which I am pretty happy about as I really wanted Jon and I to be the last 2 standing.

The reason I really wanted Jon and I HU was that during the final he had told me how much this meant to him ££ wise so to bust him in that coup with the shortie only having 12 bigs and having laddered vv well the whole day on all my tables wanted him out next which happened the next hand when I raise called the button in a standard spot with K9 to be in good shape vs JQo but the J 7 4 flop leaves us in bad shape but when it is your day it is your day and we get there on the T and Q river to leave us heads up and we immediately shook hands taking the ICM chip count deal which is the only deal we were allowed to do but hopefully worked well for all parties.

So we have a winning stake still with 2/3 tournies yet to play, can we bink something else?  Smiley
