Agree about the PDC crowds though.

One of the reasons I wouldn't go.

Agree with Kit, some good players in the BDO and it still provides an entertaining betting platform post PDC World Cships.

Crowds getting worse and worse in the PDC every week it seems, a couple of years ago they were entertaining and witty with their songs, now its just the same old dull moronic stuff like "boring, boring tables" and the shitty Toure song non-stop.

This is the key.

The BDO should always be on BEFORE the PDC, so the Terrestrial darts watchers got a "warm up" before the main event. You don't put the comedian on after the main event after people have started to leave.

He won't win 16 world titles due to the depth nowadays but MVG is incredible.

170 checkout, 9 darter, 170 checkout in 3 consecutive legs.

Wasn't it a 177 the visit before the first 170 too?

Unreal standard of darts, add that to his recent premier league averages and he is soooo far ahead of everyone else

So, the Premier League is over for another year with an almost spectacularly underwhelming finals night. MVG pisses it in 3rd gear - no one else really turns up.

Never heard 20,000 people be so quiet all night.

Thought there was something up with the sound transmission, pretty poor effort from the crowd or maybe the venue is just too big?

Venue size could be a thing - singing comes from the tables but the O2 is a big old barn where it could get lost.

I think it was more just that none of the games ever really got going.

More Stoke misery.

Darts legend Phil “The Power” Taylor has been ordered to pay £830,000 to his ex-wife in their divorce deal.

The 16-time world champion also has to hand over five houses and his pension to Yvonne, 54, after the pair split in 2014 after 23 years of marriage .

The 56-year-old has to give up his marital home and lose a Tenerife pad as part of the settlement.

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2016/dec/12/phil-taylor-darts-interview

We all know he is gone at the game but surely he can't possibly win another major with this mind set?  Will he retire after the world's this year or just keep milking the game he has every right to for years after building it single handedly into the sport it is whilst sliding down the rankings?  He could win more money for a 1/4 final exit in the worlds than he won winning most of his titles nowadays.  After the divorce i could see why he keeps milking the cow for a few more years even if he knows he can't win any more.  Being a top 6 player in 2017 is worth more financially than he made for most years in his career as the GOAT.
