Are you worried at all about the going Simon?

It's been chucking it down for several hours here in Nottingham.

Hi Ralph, some of her better efforts came with soft in the description, but it must dampen enthusiasm a little if conditions will be quite extreme.

Unlucky Simon but a good run nevertheless on heavy ground.

Well done on yesterday's selection which I unfortunately missed as well as HughT's 10/1 winner of the second race as I was otherwise distracted.

A 3 yr old whose record reads 16 runs, 0 wins, 5 2nd, 1 3rd doesn't look the most promising profile, but had a look due to trainer's good record at this track - 31% strike rate 1.66 a/e. Trainer is also in good form 7 from 29 1.62 a/e last 28 days.

If we forgive a poor run lto, the previous neck 2nd on 5th Aug to Whatsthemessage who went on to win next 3 times and is now rated 91 looks impressive. The 3rd, 4th and 5th from that race have gone on to win since.

I've backed Mama Africa at 10-1 5.15 Leicester today.

Really liked this tip, and the way the race went thought you had it won. Felt the jock (jane Elliott) was found out a little there. She normally looks good, but in the conditions, I thought looked a little weak and a stronger "jock" would have got it home.

Great shout nonetheless Simon.

Not pleasant watching at Perth. Borderline cruelty racing on this sort of ground.

I quite like Capri's EW chances @ 20/1 in The Arc tomorrow especially if the ground is somewhat testing.

I thought it was impressive in a very good St Leger even though my shekels were on the 2nd that day.

Hopefully there will be a pacemaker as a typical French sprint over the last couple of furlongs would not be favourable.

Its a front runners bonanza in the 4.30 at Market Raspberry

Gonna go a right old gallop I imagine as nearly all of them want to lead.

Reckon this might tee it up nicely for old Guitar Pete.

Been plenty of money for him too.

I've only been following racing since my legs packed up, so wouldn't know.

Frankel the only really good one I know of?

I'm not sure either but have it in the back of my mind that he doesn't keep fillies going beyond three.

Might be victim of spending too long looking at a race and wasn't madly keen to take on the fav, who has however been pretty busy of late and faces likely very testing ground again today 4.00 Ayr.
Gworn is something of a course specialist, wasn't disgraced in a heavy ground hurdle over 2m in the past and on potentially competitive hcap mark. Trainer not in great form and 7lb claimer only has one 2nd place to show for 12 runs.
Couldn't resist a small e/w bet at 18-1.

Banks Hill, Intercontinental, Timepiece, Passage Of Time and Midday were all G1 winning mares of his kept in training that come to mind. Obviously Enable goes into her own category and he has retired plenty at 3 also.

Johnny G drawing dead if she raced in blue with white epaulets.
