Toby Lewis opens to 1600 at 400-800

In the big blind Tony Marmolle calls

A-8-8 flop

Marmolle check calls 2200

4 turn, a third club

check check

Q river

Marmolle 5,500

Lewis 15,325

Marmolle is playing 30,000 behind

"I am not folding" he tells Lewis, who stays impassive

Call says Marmolle and flips Q-Q

Amy Trodd was down to 15,000 doubled to 28,000 and then opened UTG

In the big blind Adil Iddir calls

They see a 7-3-6 flop

Iddir check calls a continuation bet

A turn

check check

A river

Iddir leads for 5,500

Amy looks downtrodden but calls, to be shown A-3

She's back down under half average

James Keys (who has inexplicably escaped my radar until now) raised to 1700 UTG only to get 3 bet to 3100 by Mikolaj Zawadzki. Matt Dale then flatted the 3-bet and it folded back to Keys who also called.

They saw a Two Diamonds and Keys checked. Zawadzki bet 2800 and Matt called. Keys passed and we went heads up to the turn. Both players checked  and the appeared on the river. Mikolaj checked and Matt quickly bet 3500. Mikolaj then leaned forwarded with his hands covering his cards, intently watching a stoic Mr Dale, but he must have saw something to make him think that Matt was weak as he drew back after about 20 seconds and called.

Matt calmly turned over for the second nuts, and Zawadzki mucked.

Ok!

I should stop viewing this thread though, I'm just torturing myself. I near bubbled yesterdays day 1, AA was cracked by AJ. Pretty f**king gutted, especially considering I had freeroll'd up until that point and got so close. This tournament looks like so much fun.
