Today's Mirror/Survation poll:
LAB 34 (n/c)
CON 33 (n/c)
UKIP 16 (n/c)
LD 9 (n/c)
SNP 4 (+1)
GREEN 4 (+1)
OTHER 1 (-1)

"Mirror/Survation poll shows basically no change on a week ago.
We appear to be at deadlock"

"The polls open in 36 hours.
Almost a quarter of voters say they could still change their mind about who to vote for. "

24% UKIP "voters" who may change their mind could be critical for the Tories. Much higher percentage of UKIP might change their mind and are more likely to be Tory.

1 to a million would represent a hefty chunk of value.

Yup :-) saw on another post you were a mate of Alex - which one ? the pretty boy is so popular !

Anyway, to add to what others have said, really enjoyed the discussions here even with quite a few having such entrenched views blah blah.

Been a great reference resource, thanks obviously to Tighty for posting so many interesting links as well as all the others that have appeared here. Thankfully kinboshi kept most of his rants to other social media which was very deece of him  :-)

Election 2015: Voting tactically has become more fraught in new political order

Things have become more complex as the political landscape has changed and new parties emerge

SNP suspends pair after Glasgow scuffle http://polho.me/1GYcDTK

we were told yesterday, nothing to do with the SNP

Not quite, I said that they didn't represent the SNP, the ring leader absolutely doesn't, 2 of their 100,000+ members were certainly involved and have been suspended, fwiw one of them is English Smiley

My point was it was much ado about nothing, John Major put up with and handled worse from Labour in 1992, it didn't do him any harm.

Just flicked over to the Northern Irish Leader's debate, which is happening tonight.

What was the topic under discussion?

Whether gay people should continue to be banned from giving blood.

It's billed as being live, but they appear to be broadcasting from the 1950s

A very good article from Jim Slaven, I think he sums up the point for many lefty, working class people.  Especially those from the Irish diaspora in Scotland.

Frustrated watching stuff on TV tonight more than ever. What the fuck is wrong with these guys? All of the pricks, they can't answer a simple fucking question with a straight answer between the lot of 'em.

Only way I can see this being resolved is the media saying no to having anyone on that won't give a straight answer and terminating the discussion there and then if they don't. No good for this time round in the election, but they need to do something for the future.

If I didn't give a straight honest answer or lied in my day to day job there is a good chance I would be sacked and rightly so.

They had a much better debate than the British leaders' equivalent. The question under discussion from the audience was 'What will you do to ensure LGBT rights in Northern Ireland?'. The blood thing was mentioned briefly in a long discussion, which mainly dealt with same-sex marriage, in the light of the referendum in the Republic later this month.

Thoughts on this?  Truely shocking media imo.  Even as a tory voter myself i find this stuff really embarrassing if this is how bad it has got to educate the country in middle england in order to vote.

It will probably help the under 3.5 ukip seat bet i have though!

I am not particularly surprised or offended by this to be honest and I regularly feel outraged by the daily mail.

This for example is a lot worse IMO

I tend to find people that find the mail so offensive, but obviously still read stuff there, and then moan about it, equally annoying.

Why do it, if you know it's going to offend you? Bit daft really innit.
