How entirely predictable, as part of the overall narrative around the deal.

https://twitter.com/BethRigby/status/1184821134258327554?s=20

Trying to back the MPs into a corner, and yet if passed it would still require a technical extension, so hopefully they don't fall for it.

When Boris was likely to become PM I thought that he'd never go for a referendum, but now I can see him eating his words and going for it. He can still stay PM and it gives him more time in office.

Saturday going to be huge.

Reading Twitter and it would seem that this deal has a bigger chance than I would have thought

The DUP are voting against it, rather than abstaining though

Jean Claude Juncker just ruled out an extension

No 10 has worked very, very hard to get him to say this

It means PM will be able to present the vote on Saturday as his deal or no deal at all

"The Chief Whip has advised him this is only chance he has to get deal through"

Puts Labour in an impossible spot. Boris has out manoeuvred Jezza/Starmer & Co.

If Labour vote against it and the deal doesn’t get through Parliament then Labour will get blamed and fall even lower in polls.

If they abstain, the deal goes through then Boris should win a majority in GE.

No, you think its an impossible spot

Labour aren't stupid, they know this will have been a request by Boris & know EU will extend

Even if deal doesn’t get through and EU extend, Labour are toast in next GE Aaron.

You think Jezza has played his hand well?

I think we all know that Labour are in trouble at the next election, but we all said that in 2017 and it was the reason May called for the election. Surprisingly, they didn't do too bad & I think Labour won't do as bad as you'd think.

As for Jezza, he's played every hand he's had terribly. I think it was today we would have been going to the polls if he went for this election.

In actual fact, I think every party has played their cards badly. I wonder how much Boris will regret how he dealt with the rebels?

Good and hopefully Macron, Merkel etc will say the same.

Incredible how some MP's want to carry on this game with our lives.

If it doesn't get through then hopefully Boris crushes at the election...deal sails through and we can move into a transition phase and get on with life.
