Can someone give me a breakdown of what's wrong with Corbyn? I didn't like how he didn't take a stance on the EU thing, and he didn't seem overly prime ministerial to me then, but otherwise what makes him bad/good? Really hard for someone like me who only very casually looks at these things to sift through the propaganda and the truth.

He wears suits at PMQ's which make him look like the man from Del Monte.  That could be considered a good or bad thing depending on your stance.

Who are Labour voters going to vote for in the next GE if they dislike Corbyn?

I would definitely vote Lib Dem if Charlie Kennedy or even Nick Clegg was their leader.

But I could never vote for a party led by a committed homophobe like Tim Farron.

I'll probably still vote Labour, I actually admire Corbyn very much but he just isn't a leader and could never win a general election.

John Kerry's face when a US journalist accuses Boris of making "outright lies" is quite something.

Almost all of the Labour target seats required to win an election were solidly anti-EU.

Been waiting 5 minutes for Labour to process my Registered Supporter application, odds on site crashing before 5pm? update finally processed, though I wonder if they are now checking my twitter and Facebook

Hello,

Thank you for registering as a Labour Supporter, and paying your fee to participate in our selection process to choose Labour’s Leader.

As soon as your application has been processed, we will contact you again to confirm your Registered Supporter status, and with further information about the timetable for the ballot and how you can cast your vote.

 Best,

 Iain McNicol
General Secretary of the Labour Party

I retired from this thread for ever (in my head - didn't make a leaving speech) when it was overrun with right-wing posts after the Brexit vote. I decided to leave them to it. But I can't stay away, and the thread has calmed down since. So I would just like to agree with Simon.

Nick Clegg? Seriously?

Very accomplished, gave a great defeat speech and all - but he's a Tory, innit?

I think we are only seeing now what a calming influence the LibDems had on the rabid Tory right wingers during the coalition years.

The comparison may be obvious but this is a very Thatcher-esque performance from May. Blown Corbyn away, a formidable performer really for a first PMQs

She has grown on me massively in the last week or so.  Nice rub for Corbs when she said 'i hope we have many years at the dispatch box together'!  I am sure she and the rest of the tory party wish for the same.

Very sharp suit as well.  Not that it matters in the bigger picture.
