Former Chief of Staff and NI Negotiator Jonathan Powell explains why no deal with the DUP should be done. https://twitter.com/EL4JC/status/873188501990371330David Lammy Verified account @DavidLammy Tories warned us about a "coalition of chaos" propped up by "terrorist sympathisers". They just didn't tell us it would be them leading it!!

When is the next election likely to be held?
Would the next election be basing on how the Tories get on with Brexit?
Are the Tories likely to have a new leader?

1. It's all I think about, other than hot girls, booze and rugby. I reckon it's one year away and Brexit is compromised. 2. Hard Brexit is all they have now, they'll be the worst government we've ever had. Doesn't matter what they do now. 3. She's bashed up all known records for being useless and DC set the bar high.

Not quite sure I agree. I personally can't see them waiting a full year for the election, I think the whole electrate is pissed off to another level and surely can't wait a full year? Feel as if the public want this to be done and dusted and would prefer another election ASAP, maybe Autumn? I dunno. And isn't Brexit set to be a lot softer now, they've no overall majority? The electrate won't like hard brexit and I think they know this.

TM does not have enough MPs to last 5 years, imagine the chances of her winning a by-election.
So a new election is needed, but can't be in the summer as too many on holiday so October is the first chance, but that will be in the middle of the EU rows about exit payments, and European residents in the UK and UK residents on the costas. Either UKIP is reborn takes 5000 votes in every seat and it's a landslide for labour, or the remainders bite back and vote enyone but May. Or She could suddenly become a politician who listens and is flexible and is great on tv and in debates but I doubt it.
I see she lost Kensington and Chealsea last night (average house price £1.4m) - how is it even possible for the tories to lose that.
She has lost many votes in the south, due to remain voters (inc the young) gained some votes in the east and north with Brexit but they at risk with implementation of the dementia tax and other policies that hurt the older voters. (Although I guess a new budget bribing them will happen soon)
Meanwhile the Brexit clock is ticking 21 months (less 6-9 months for votes in 27 EU parliaments) - the UK is screwed.

I can't imagine this coalition will last for long.
Ken Clarke and Anna Soubry both detest Theresa and will be watching the Brexit talks like hawks. One false step and they'll cross the house like a shot.
Meanwhile the Euronutcases on the other side also mistrust May, and if they feel she is trying to get a soft Brexit in, they'll abstain.
And if there's ever a vote of no confidence I'm pretty sure SF will turn up to make sure the Tories lose.
