Completely hilarious how people support this idiot, if they had any sense they would sling him and get a decent leader, if they did before the last election they might be in power already. Labours biggest mistake was choosing the wrong Milliband, it was all downhill from there. I reckon David M was an election winner for them.

https://britainelects.com/polling/westminster/Just putting this up now. These are the poll numbers before the Labour split. Labour and Tories were neck and neck in January. The February polls were split 4 to the Conservatives and two were level. The average lead was nearly 4% in February. The Brexit shambles was seemingly a positive for the conservatives. There is also a recent poll giving Corbyn's approval rating of 22% and 55% against. May is 30 odd percent, but still negative. Will be interesting to see how these move.

How f***ed up is our political situation at the moment that 8 people can leave Labour and set up an "independent" party that within a few days we hear of people from the Tories are thinking of joining it?

This is what politics is meant to be like. A two party battle helps no one. It’s far more important that all political views have representation in parliament, seems to me like there’s plenty of room in the middle atm. Moderate Conservatives (Let’s call them Blairites) belong there just as much as rightish ex-Labour MP’s. Of course the FPP system is a disaster that limits what this sort of venture can achieve, that doesn’t in itself make it the wrong thing to do.

As the two parties begin to fracture from within it’s encouraging to hear that some MPs are aware that their first duty is to the people who elected them.

Still don't quite get how Tories worried about Brexit can suddenly feel a party of ex Labour party members worried about ANti Semitism are such a heavenly match?
If they were my MP, I would want them to step down completely. Has anyone voted for this kind of MP?

Did anyone vote for a Tory Government underpinned by the DUP?
