What kind of fuckery is this?

What I find a trifle bothersomes is the modern use of “influencers” in today’s world. Fine with commercial products but in politics it’s moody. People gasp at potential soviet intervention in USA elections but it’s happening as standard. No surprise in this latest non news story the neighbour is a left wing Boris hater, reporting to a left wing newspaper with a bbc headline of “concerned neighbour feared for safety of woman”

People just auto swallow this schizz, even you bad ass players of the pokers.

Vitally important for politicians to be media savvy and personality plus these days. Come with the Bill Clinton “I did not have domestic altercations with that woman” line and bat it back, normalise yourself and court popularity. The whole influencer strat only works because of snowflakes. Just try not to swoon if normal stuff happens pls because democracy is being replaced by brainwashing.

how do you know its a non-news story? Boris won't comment on it, we don't have a transcript. I think its irrelevant they are anti-Brexit or left wing.

how did the neighbours know at the time its a non-story? Their priority is concern, potential concern for a woman who might be in trouble no?

You may find the fact that it got to the guardian (without payment, i think) concerning, but i don't think its a non story. Yet.

So cabinet minster Gauke took aim at Boris's supposed Brexit strategy as stated in the hustings

"If your Brexit strategy involves:

(a) leaving without a deal but negotiating an FTA during the implementation period; or

(b) making unilateral use of Article 24 of GATT

you don’t have a credible Brexit strategy.

If your strategy involves both (a) and (b), (concerted use of facepalm emojis)"

If there is no deal there is no implementation period, yet Boris gets a standing ovation for his "strategy" in Birmingham yesterday

It makes no sense.

Gauke continued

"(a) The implementation period is part of the withdrawal agreement. No withdrawal agreement means no implementation period.
(b) Article 24 of GATT requires both parties to consent. It’s not an alternative to no deal. It’s a form of deal - and it won’t be in place by 31 October."

New Survation poll for MOS shows declining support for Boris over two days and rising support for Hunt.

If this is seen in other polls then the argument that only Johnson is a potential election winner is undermined

data is post domestic argument

Ultimately i don't think it changes who wins.Unless the story develops

Johnson is bandying around GATT 24 & WTO rules as reasons not to fear no deal,

Here is the Grey Brexit blog again. It's wonderful, read it three times and still it adds something to my knowledge every time

stalwart work explaining to us lay people why Johnson's approach won’t wash.

More authentic concern without involving newspapers I’d say

Not sure if you know it’s not newsworthy or are a knowing part of the spin doctory movement. Project Fear II the Boris edition. Show me a corpse, perhaps purple bloody face in hospital and you have my attention.

Spin doctoring meddlers should be mindful of that all publicly is good publicity thing. If he’s all over the show with these minor infractions he couldn’t ask for better campaign managers

I found his failure to address the issue five times when asked yesterday concerning. I found the heckling Iain Dale got from the audience for even asking the question even more concerning

Tell me the girlfriend is ok before I say the question is not fair game for a potential PM with severe character concerns around trustworthiness, lies, number of children, helping a mate assault a journalist, sacked by a newspaper for making up quotes and that's without googling for more

Maybe the neighbours of all prominent politicians should have recorded devices at the ready for every domestic argument eh?

Come on Tighty, it’s a nothing story. It’s politically motivated. A private argument between partners in their private residence is none of our business.

And surprise surprise when the police turned up all was fine.

It’s pathetic.

It's a matter of public interest if its a domestic abuse case.

The neighbours may be Martians with purple heads for all i know, but if they are worried they act, as any concerned citizen should. Subsequent actions (going to the papaers say) are a different matter

I find it staggering that people take the worst of the neighbours motives at outset.

In attitudes towards this the Trumpification of our society continues. First its "fake news" "politically motivated", then the rest folows

But errr the police snap said no offence no charges

So in grip of biggest crisis for our country in a generation question after question to leading pm contender about late night domestic squabbling deserves short shrift from Boris and audience

Sure we don’t have the all telling “transcript” and their argument could’ve been in Russian and Boris could’ve been wearing a logical racist wizard hat but more interested in his policies & designs on running UK

If every heated domestic argument was reported to the police, they would be getting tens of thousands of similar cases a day.

It’s disproportionate and it’s certainty not worthy of headline news just because it’s a politician.

We are in danger of having expectations that are so unrealistic that we might as well expect politicians to be virginal, whiter than white angels.
