Awful news. I was very friendly with Tall Alan over many decades.

RIP

TV chef, Gary Rhodes, has died aged 59.

No mention of any cause as yet, but it seems to be unexpected.

And now Clive James' death being reported too, aged 80.

Loved watching his 'on Television' stuff in the 80s, in particular.

I loved Clive James's dry acerbic wit and verbiosity, all beautifully delivered with masterful timing.

I always thought that he had pretty much universal appeal.

When he was first diagnosed he wrote what amounted to his own obituary. Five years later he wrote an apology for not being dead yet and assuring people he had no intention of misleading them.

Shocked by the news of Bob Willis passing.

Ffs. Bob and Charles on The Verdict was the nuts. He was so good on there. Especially with Trotty giggling along.

Desperate news.
