So, whilst Father was tossing around at the UKIPT this weekend, I was knee-deep in the final stages of 'wedmin'.
On Saturday, I will marry my unbelievable other half, Helen, after a little over five years of courtship. She is just an unbelievable lady - she always puts others before herself, sees the good in everyone she meets, and fascinates me in a way no-one has before, nor ever will again.
The day will begin at 9am with an usher's breakfast in Wimbledon Village.

Amongst my ushers are my future brother-in-law, Alex, a couple of friends I made working at Betfair, a fellow financial adviser and of course my groomsmen (two old Emmanuelites and my closest childhood friend).
From there, and once we have suitably flower appendages hanging off the morning suits it is to St. John the Baptist Church, in time to welcome guests for an 11am kickoff:

Then our guests will walk across Wimbledon Common to the Fox & Grapes. It's a 'straight' mile, so I have had the below fashioned accordingly!!

The meal should, all being well, be a belter. We are serving 'pub grub' nibbles on arrival, including South African biltong, cauliflower cheese vol au vents, devilled whitebait with an aioli and scotched quails eggs.
For the starter, cured salmon with a lemon mascarpone and pea shoots, washed down with a 2014 Haute Carbriere Chardonnay Pinot Noir.
Main is then a Beef Wellington with a 2006 Springfield Work of Time. The image below is from our 'trial' evening:

Wedding cupcakes and coffees for desert.
We then hop on an old school route master into town:
Heading to The Lucky Pig, a great bar in Fitzrovia owned be a couple of clients of mine, where we will dance the night away.....
.....before heading to overnight at the Savoy. The next day, we fly off to the Amalfi Coast for a two week break
The whole thing has taken quite some pulling together, and we are really proud of it.
Maybe I'll bluff off less stacks as a married man....?!
