My daughter had meningitis when she was 6 months old, it looked really bad for a while and we were prepared for the worst. It was the worst time of my life. Against the odds, Maddie made a full recovery.
Children are resilient, doctors are brilliant and hope is powerful.
All the best to you and speedy recovery to your daughter!

first time ive posted on blonde in forever, but couldn't let this slide. Gonna try and avoid this sounding too soppy, but really happy for you and the family mate.
Think we met circa 10 years ago and in that time weve both had some serious swings (mine more documented than yours), but we have maintained a good friendship, have helped each other out  a load of times and have had some serious fun along the way.
I can relate to alot of what you said about having a kid (and being a kid yourself) and also "taking on" a child.
Maddie is 2 and a half now and however old and cheesy it sounds it honestly does go so fking fast!
My advice would be get in sleep when you can, even if small naps (the sleeping type) here and there, although i worry for percy if he has to hear your fking snoring. Also just treasure the time and moments, having a child is something you cant properly prepare for, but it honestly just makes other things in your life that you thought were important and special, not seem so. Its a true blessing.
Your gona make a great dad and i truly wish you every success.
Ill follow the thread to see what your doing your money on!
All the best mate

i jam

strongly agree with this, especially in a live 50r, vs a well dressed 40 year old :-)

I limped as I felt I has a decent edge post flop vs the bb.

Also I didn't fancy raise folding to pmahoney, but would happily limp call vs him

How big can an edge be post if the bb only has 2200 chips?

Certainly not a PLO expert, BUT, a$$ou is literally one of the biggest fish regs at highstakes IMO.
bigger on flop?!?!

congrats to michael howard who won this. Been coaching him for a while and he is really talented, but also has worked hard and grinded thru a tough downswing from earlier in the year, wp m8

I don't expect this is a productive line of conversation for anyone involved. Let's move on, guys.

yh agree, maybe tighty should move all discussion that isnt directed at the OP

What is a lot though? I'm sure railtards famous 10+ and your "lots" means a really big number . There's. maybe 5 posts a week so your 20+ new guys is huge traffic. I can't stand in the way of that.

Your post is ridiculously insulting so il stand aside and watch this new traffic flourish and eat my words in a couple of weeks/months I'm sure.

unless im really misreading tighty's posts, i dont think he is trying to be 'ridiculously insulting to you', but what he is saying is (at least somewhat) really accurate. I dont think anyone wants u to stop posting, but being a little more understanding and welcoming to new posters who obviously dont have the skill level you have, is not asking alot. Do you really think the way you replied to the OP was polite?

sigh, too late.

gd post patrick.

yh the later part of patricks post and ur post dave are both awesome and great examples of 2 intelligent and informative posts.
My post wasnt in ANYWAY a person attack on you patrick, but im sure if you or anyone else reads back on some of your recent posts, they will agree, your wording and tone could of been improved upon.
Also, to your reply, i didnt offer OP anything, granted (i didnt claim to i dont think?) but i also wasn't rude to him. I was in no way trolling you, was just my opinion that was drawn from reading alot of your replies recently. As i said, the majority are very very good man.
no hard feelings :-)

To me this seems like a culmination of months of posts like this. Patrick, ur obv a very high level thinker and alot of ur posts (the majority even) are both informative and intelligent, but i think ur posts have (maybe without realizing it) become blunt and somewhat rude recently. This may seem a little rich coming from someone like me who has definitely been guilty of arrogance and ive been hugely obnoxious and rude in the past also, but im sure your not meaning your posts to come across this way.
At least 10 people have mentioned to me recently that they have similar opinions; those being that the poker hand analysis on blonde is now dominated by what you think and also has become a really uncomfortable place for people to post through fear of a public bashing by you and a couple of others.
The case in question for example,  a guy posts for the first time, is a small stakes player who is looking for some advice on moving forward. We were ALL in this situation, or similar once and you posting "graph is irrelevant, play 50k hands and post again" is swaying from constructive criticism and bordering on plain rude IMO.
More and more people are afraid to post on the PHA now which is totally wrong. So many posts now start with "im not qualified to post here really", or similar which i think isnt what a forum like blonde should be about. People from all ability levels posting is refreshing and good for the progression of the game.
Ive spoken to you off forum and i know your not a bad guy obv, so please don't take this in the wrong way, but i felt this post was honest.
FWIW, some of ur posts are very good and your def one of the best frequent posters on blonde, you've come along way from asking me for backing for $26 comps on ftp back in 2009 :-)

definitely bet. THINK i know the guy Ur referring to and from my experience vs him he wasn't the type to take intricate river lines, so not rly worried about a c/r with better and think he is gona turn something into a bluff even less often.
Its actually a pretty big leak of some peoples in mtt's where they check back the best hand because they believe their opponents range is made up of missed draws and hands too weak to call a river bet. Obviously the glaring issue with this is that were stopping our opponent from hero'ing, even if its only 1% of the time.
