as for solid signing same could be said for all 3 from last season
but i do think lovern will be better this year
To be fair , he couldn't be much worse.

We're already looking at lot stronger this year. The last crop will have benefited from 12m in the trenches, while the likes of Milner and Ings should be able to hit the ground running.

A friend of mine, who's an agent - could be Danny's rates him very highly. He commentated today that this was a superb signing for Aberdeen.

If Liverpool sign Clyne for £10.5m as expected, they'll have spent £60m on 4 Southampton players in a year. (Players who cost Saints £12m).
Clyne will be a solid signing though, won't he?
It'll be a great signing if we can secure it. comparing the £60m to Soton set £12m is a bit harsh imo, as Lallana was a kid and was bought for £3k from Bournemouth when he was 12. Lovren was over-priced yes. Great signing if we can get clyne in plus I've got faith that lallana will prove his worth,my arguement with lovren was he any better than what we had already and played worse than I thought hope he improves this season coming

Sky are reporting £10m rising to £12.5m That appears to be deal of the decade for me. 12.5 for an England international, under 25 with real talent, bravo Brendan. How much did Utd pay for Shaw?

How much did Utd pay for Shaw? shaw was under a long term contract and was 19 even if saints let his contract run down we would of still gotten a fee from tribunal . Shaw is arguably the better player and a much better prospect

Sky are reporting £10m rising to £12.5m best signing of the pre-season so far I think. I'd bet he is on a lot less than Johnson a week as well I've seen £90k per week as a figure. How these things get found out I've know idea, but that's the only figure I've seen being quoted. Which is less, as mad as it sounds, than Johnson was on.
