If Kizzy goes AWOL for a few days, she's probably doing this......
The website is here.....
https://www.borrowmydoggy.com/
According to The Times, they are getting 10,000 sign-ups per month. "Owners" pay £35 per year, "Borrowers" £8 per year.
If true, the owners of "BorrowMyDoggy" are making serious money.
The mind boggles.

I looked a little further, & discovered an amazing ruse conected with this, too.
"Borrowers" borrow a pure-bred dog for the weekend, mate it with a bitch, & hey presto, instant profit.

If I was ever deluded enough to attempt writing a book, it would be true stories about dogs I've owned.
Or dogs I've known.
Or horses.
Or birds, or ferrets.

Love the photos of birds and other wildlife in the gardens. Sadly my phone (Samsung Note 2) never seems to capture the picture I want. Do you use a smartphone or specialist camera for these?
I don't think I am happier then sitting in my garden watching my kids play, listening to the birds on a Sunny spring day. The smells of the flowers coming through makes everything seem better. My Cat is coming out of her shell again and spending hours outside bird watching and feeling alive. If only I could capture this in picture

Hi Acid.
I use one of these. It's my no means ideal for bird photographs or for any other specialized branch of photography, but its a decent all rounder and it's tiny. I'm talking fag packet size.
It has a reasonable optical zoom for it's size, but you will still have to get really close for anything like a decent bird picture, and remember, cameras don't take pictures, people do. Spend a bit of time learning the basics of photography. It's great fun.
They say the best camera is the one you have with you, and this one is so easy to slip into pocket. You can pick one up for about £150 on ebay.

When we first moved here I threw a few random paving slabs on to the grass and they became our path for the next 14 years. During that time, I've been constantly promising to do a proper job 'when I get around to it'.
Well that bird has finally come home to roost. SWMBO Won't let me procrastinate any longer. I've bought the ingredients and made a tentative start.
Goodbye clean nails and supple back.

Lawn envy in full effect here.
May the tea be plentiful while you destroy your manicure.

Shit post Nakor, such a clown.

It never really was a lawn Nakor, just a bit of field that I kept mowing.
You're right about the tea, and it's not because you're thirsty so much as wanting to be reassured that someone loves you and appreciates what you're doing.
Back in the day I would have flung myself at a job like this and polished it off in no time, now I have to pace myself, a couple of hours of digging and lifting are as much as I can manage in one session, and even then I end up with more pains than my grannies greenhouse.
When I lifted the old slabs I found some great 'ant cities' which meant I had to down tools and watch while they gathered up all their eggs and marched off in search of pastures new.
