Looks like it's going to come to a sticky end...

Careful you don't get something in your eye at the end. I loved the book as a boy, to the extent I refused to watch the film in case they made a mess of it.

I saw the film as a boy but as far as I know it's never been on the telly.

Did you enjoy the music last night at DTD?
The funny thing is, I'd arrived at DTD for a cash game, but was told there'd be nothing for a good hour or so. So I headed to the Grosvenor in town to get a game there. Found a really good game and was doing well (running well too, KK > AA), except for one thing.
They've decided it's a good idea to have a live band on a Saturday night to attract the punters. This might be a good idea. Except that they're so loud and so close to the poker tables you can't actually hear anyone speak, it's actually hard to hear yourself think. So I stayed there for an hour or so, and had to leave towards the end of the Bon Jovi hour before a headache kicked in.
You'd have loved it.

I can't believe they though that playing God Save The Queen by The Sex Pistols at a loud volume on speakers directly above the cash tables at 4:30am was a good idea. Everyone on my table was moaning about it.
I'm a huge DTD fan, but the loud music does my head in. It just makes m the feel like getting up and going home.
I guess I'm just old.

Was John Kabbaj playing? They played it for him when he won the $10K PLO bracelet.
Is it a reliance of robins?

I must say I thoroughly enjoyed sharing a table with this threads hero through most of Saturday. Try as I might, I couldn't find a good time to mention dingleberries whilst we were in a hand together, hopefully I will next time! Either way, it was a pleasure helping you pass my chips one seat to my left

I enjoyed your company too Maris. You're not a bad kid, I don't care what everyone else says.
