I was forced to do a lengthy walk this morning (drooped car off at garage for MOT) & it was my first lengthy walk for almost a year. Came back puffing & blowing a treat, but I could not have done it a month ago.

Walking is terrific exercise but you have to start slowly. You will be aching tomorrow.

Personally I calorie count. 1500 calories a day made easy because Mrs Red has three Pinch of Nom books and she cooks a recipe from them every day.

Added to that I walk a lot and do a bit of cycling.

I've lost the weight before but never managed to keep it off. That is going to be the big challenge this time.
