I've just had a PM telling me that the "Wet head is dead" was a Gillette hairspray advert.

Hmmm, I'm not sure now.

I'm becoming very intrigued by the Hadza people.

I think there was a Ray Mears episode in Tanzania that featured the Hazda tribes.

Yes, I remember seeing it ages ago, I think that's what set me off.

Who among you used to have their hair cut by a designated, but unqualified family member?

My granddad used to do mine, short back & sides, a parting, a wave, and a dab of Brylcreem.

PS- I abandoned Brylcreem when "Cossack, the new hairspray for men" came out. I couldn't afford Cossack, so I used nothing. I just couldn't ignore the slogan, "The wet head is dead, try the dry look"

My 2 youngest lads still do each others, my eldest is bald.

Mum used to cut mine with one of those comb with a razorblade thingy's. They didn't half hurt if the razor wasn't sharp. Then as a teenager I stopped having it cut, in fact in this school photo (age 14) I didn't even comb it, mum went mad.

It's just good weather cross-country skiing without skis.
