And another thing. How come I can no longer hire a pedestrian flail mower? They were all over the place back in the day.
I bet health and safety have been sticking their padded oar in again. I can't be doing with bloody safe healthy people.

I seem to collect the words that no one else wants.
I may steal that sentence.

Why are the words 'The Color' part of the film title The Color Purple?
What else can purple be?

Some folk have a track record for tautology. Completely devoid of the self awareness needed to spot it.

I have little but loathing for that expression "track record", usually qualified on CVs by "proven".
It's up there with "very urgent". Is that right? Ok. I'll put it in front of the quite urgent pile...

Well it's better than having little butt loathing for girls with small bottoms.

The banksman was quite a prestigious job on a building site back in the day, anything you wanted to do, including a tom tit, required his say-so first.
Wonder what the derivation of the word "banksman" is?

From Wiki .
1825: the man stationed at the bank or top of a pit who unhooked and emptied the laden corves [1] into carts or wagons, from a frame or stage.
Seems to me he would use a bank as a vantage point. The bloke standing on the barrel is doing the same thing.

This may interest you Tom, especially as there were so many mines in & around Barnsley at the time.

Thought as much. They have their own language, it seems.

Erm. Isn't purple an adjective here describing the noun color? Or did I get whoooshed?
