Look how the spray from the waterfall has frozen on to the foliage.

Kizzy passed recently after 14 wonderful years.

Dogs ask so little and give so much.

This story about pigs playing video games disturbs me.

The fact that Korean's eat dogs disturbs me.

It disturbs me because dogs are high-functioning, emotionally invested domesticated creatures who need to love you and be loved in return. I can't agree with caging them and keeping them unloved, just as a foodstuff.

Pigs are just the same as dogs.

I don't suppose I'll stop eating bacon but still this story disturbs me.

Always hate to hear of a furry friend passing, they give us so much but then tear us apart at the end the little swines.....

RIP little Kizzy

RIP Kizzy, she seemed a grand dog.

My Grandad used to breed Yorkies, so we had a couple of runts when we were younger.

A quick running update

This has been my issue since Christmas, and was planning on spending some time working out how to add my own photos.

I have walked and cycled over this meadow, and won't be doing either any time soon.  Water levels are still pretty high wherever I go cycling, and have had some hairy moments cycling into floodwater.

I would love to give this a go one day obv.

I once got a little dingy, just a child's thing really, and I paddled it down the canal. It was great, nice and quiet, lovely views of the wildlife etc, but some official pulled me and asked to see my boat licence. I didn't have one of course so I had to abandon ship.

Blimey Doobs, you have had some water where you are.

Yep, everything is kind of merged together in a big mass of water; rivers, ponds, becks, lakes, paths, roads.   You can see the path of the river when he goes past the boats.

Dare say you could have skated on it earlier, though I didn't go down.  Has been proper baltic today.

Funnily enough somebody replied to him saying he should be careful as you can get a £2k fine as it is an SSI.  Can't see many ground nesting birds getting disturbed by the kite boarding right now.

Sorry to hear about Kizzy Red. It's hard to lose them but at least you know what a good life she had.

After Tony's post about sharing a table I got to thinking about how quickly time passes and how long it is since I've seen some of the people on here.

If we've met and you can remember, tell me roughly when and where the last time was please.

I might even catch someone out with my superior memory.
