Snippets of news:

Priyan De Mel is super short but managed to double up with A-J vs 8-8. But it hasn't stopped Praz Bansi from jesting, "We need everyone to call his all-in and check the flop, turn and river. Then we make Priyan shows his cards, and one by one we slowroll him."

Priyan still just on shrapnel.

Simon Trumper -- 14.5k and seemingly enjoying the 90's dance music.

Ken Wong eliminated by Gary Symonds  (7-7 < A-A) who looks to be the chip leader with almost 60k.

Stu Rutter and Paul Lammas getting into some sort of arguement about a dealer, I think. Missed what it was about though.

Joy for Praz now, unhappinesses for former chip leader Andrew Grove, as Praz virtually doubles up to somewhere around the 40k mark and Grove is knocked down to 22k.

Grove limped and then called a raise to 1.6k from Praz, leading them to see an Two Diamonds flop. Praz flashed his cards at me standing behind him - they were exactly . Grove check-called 2.6k from Praz, and they proceeded to an turn. Grove now check-called Praz' 4k bet, and they moved on to the turn. Again, Grove checked and this time Praz bet 8k, leaving himself just 2k behind. Call.

Praz now shows everyone his so it can be legitimately reported, and Grove can only boast . I pronounce Praz now back up there with the chip leaders.

A micro-double up for an overjoyed Alan "Aldeano" Dean. He got it in with against Peter Arrigoni's and the board came through for him: .

He's now up to around 5k.

On the river of an board, Steven Boyd moved all in for a few thousand, a mere fraction of what was already in the pot. A tired-looking Paul Lammas called, and mucked when Boyd turned over - although afterwards he told the table that he had pocket kings. While Stuart Rutter seems to be giving him one of those gentle rubdowns where you ask them what they were doing checking the turn, etc etc, Lammas is down to 8k and glum.

Stu Rutter and Paul Lammas getting into some sort of arguement about a dealer, I think. Missed what it was about though.

According to Stu during the break, Paul had lost a harsh pot with K-K to A-x on an A-A-x-A-x board doubling the other player up by the river, and Stu said he was just sticking up for the dealer "who can't defend himself in these situations."

Michelle Orpe is out after Karl Mahrenholz pushed over the top of her bet on a 9-7-3 board with J-9, Orpe making the call after some serious deliberation with Q-Q, but Mahrenzholz spiked a third nine leaving Orpe dially for emergencies services (See what I did there?).
