The Albert Sapiano Story:

Albert Sapiano fires a bet of 2k on the turn of a board in a three-way pot but only Kareem Louis calls. Both check the river and Albert is forced to flip , Louis shows .

Shortly after, Albert tries 3k on a board and gets called by Gary Symonds, the latter electing to bet 3k on the river which Albert quickly calls with , Symonds rivered him with .

Finally, Mike Ellis raises from the button and Albert pushes for around 5k from the big blind. Call from last year's Grand Final winner.

Liv Boeree suffered a hit when she check-called 2k bets on the turn and river on a board from Sid Harris. The bespectacled elder flipped over , leaving poker's favourite Loaded magazine girl to tap the table and fold.

Attention Robert Boon fans, a bit of a boon for you, chortle.

He has recently doubled through Gary Avery - he was holding pocket sixes with another six on the flop, and Avery mucked his hand when the chips went in on the river.

--------------

Meanwhile Jason Shellum has enjoyed a fortunate double-up with against Jack "Dr Fun" Powell's , smacking the very living poo-poo out of the three diamonds board.

Mr James Browning Caught Red-Handed

What edifying literature is James Browning reading? An interesting and relevant poker magazine? A great novel to expand his mind?

No! It's Page 3 of The Sun. Obv.

Daniel Parker is OUT.

----------

Still very much in is Praz Bansi, although he was last seen raising to 1.2k from the hijack and then, eventually, folding to a reraise all in (maybe 7k more) from Iain Bowden on the button. "Will you show me if I fold?" asks Praz, a sure sign that folding is what he's planning to do next. Bowden duly shows him .

Dave Clarke is out, missed the hand as I got into the poker room, but saw him shaking hands with Rob Garfield as he left.

Dean Swift and Roberto Romanello both check the turn of a board, the river is the . Before Dean can act, Roberto says, "I'm going to bet this much [It's 1,250] if you check, I'm calling anything you bet, but this is how much I'm betting if you check."

Dean bets 2,025. Roberto sighs a little, "I have the second nuts here," he makes the call and Dean flips , Roberto shows .

Michelle Orpe has managed to double up throuhg Praz Bansi after he check/raised her virtually all-in on a with , she felt she was committed and made the call with and the turn and river came and .

She tapped the table and began to get up, "Good luck gents..." A few raised eyebrows of bemusement. "Oh...rivered the stone cold nuts." She's now back up to around 10k.

Stu Rutter is shaking his head, "I can't get that bit of luck, a guy squeezed, it was a fair enough play, with 6-4o when I had A-K for a 10k pot and hit. I just need a little bit of luck."

I have espied some newly-formed big stacks to join Glen Ashworth (35k) at the very top of our current chip standings.

Looking oddly depressed, considering how many chips he has, Mr Gary Symons (35k):

Similarly miserable, but on 37k, and I assure that if he goes deep you will be seeing some Crane Epics concerning this gentleman, Shane Cawe (caw!):

Less depressed and on 37k, we have Mr Andrew Grove, who seems to have a particular affection for one US-based poker festival in particular:

The Demise Of Mr G. Molloy

I ran over to the table after hearing cries of, "So sick," a sneaky trick that we updaters have to let us know that a big hand has just taken place.

It turns out that Mr Molloy had limped in early position and then snap-called big blind Cuong Tran's 6.5k push. Tran was holding A-Q, and Molloy was very ahead with K-K. Flop - K-J-T. Ouch.

Left with just small change, Molloy was all in on his big blind for not very much the next hand, and promptly tripled up when his was good on the two hearts board.

It couldn't last though, and he moved in again the very next hand under the gun for maybe 3k. Then Kevin Bloor reraised to his immediate left, and then Cuong Tran moved all in from the button. Eventually Bloor folded, and they were on their backs, again.

Tran:
Molloy:

Board:

Mr Molloy is, at last, OUT.

Mr Molloy (in the red), and what Mr Bloor thinks of the whole affair:

Attention Guests Reading The Updates!

What you need to do is sign up to blonde. Like pretty much all the updaters, it's quick, easy and completely free, and doing so will enable you to post on this thread and demand unreasonable things of myself and Floppy.

And an added incentive for you (or disincentive for the incredibly ungenerous of spirit, I suppose):

Dewi James -- 18k and 13 pints. "I'm try to keep up with my chips." God help us all if he gets close to 50k.
James Browning -- 31k. Musing with the jokey idea of online poker having the occasion misdeal to make it more authentic.

Gary Avery is not having a good day. He's just lost A-K to A-Q for a chunk of chips and further bemoaned his luck when his was cracked by Frank Romanello's which fared better on a two hearts board.

Proof poker is now on a par with football and rugby with half-time oranges!!!
