Roberto Romanello continues his excellent luckage-ings, this time betting and then calling Dean Swift's all-in raise on on a flop.

Swift:
Romanello: Two Diamonds

Turn:
River:

In a manner that is not slow, Swift makes his exit, and Romanello sets to work adding Swift's former chips to his own pyramid o' chips.

With a quantity of chips in the pot preflop that I can only describe as Absolutely Loads, Steve Jelinek checked the flop. Peter Arrigoni bet 4k, but Jelinek promptly moved all in for around 15k. Arrigoni dwelled.

And dwelled.

"sorry about this, but I'm struggling here," he said.

The clock was called.

Fold.

Jelinek showed .

Arrigoni showed and looked as though he might cry.

Justin Lemmings, I mean Hemmings, has metaphorically jumped off the tournament cliff and is now OUT.

A fair few chips in the pot pre, Wasim Akhtar moved all in to cover Hemmings. After a moment's though, Hemmings called all in and things weren't looking good.

Hemmings:
Akhtar:

Turn:
River: a very decisive

Rob Taylor has been knocked out it a pot that left him rolling his eyes, all that was needed was a thought bubble that said, "Sigh."

Andrew Booth (midposition shove):
Rob Taylor (small blind shove):
Shane Cawe (Covering both in the big):

The Scousers on the rail screams emphatically as their man triples up, he has Taylor covered while Cawe still remains with a decent stack.

Stuart Nash has doubled up with against the of Jack Powell, all-in on the turn of an board. Nash on around 46k.

Roberto Romanello has eliminated Iain Bowden, flipping his A-K successful versus his foe's Jacks.

Tony Hardy is OUT to Mr Andrew Teng.

Hardy bet out 4k on the turn of the board and Teng called. Hardy then moved all in for 8.5k on the river but Teng called that too and his was good - Hardy turned over for a total bluff and headed for the door.

Hurrah! We are done with Day Ones here in Thanet, and tomorrow we will be moving forward to the next stage, namely, Day Two. Many interesting things have happened today, many delicious chickens and cups of coffee have been consumed, and if you would like to know about all that without the hassle of reading this entire thread, I urge you to read our daily tournament report over at the William Hill site when we get it there, probably in a couple of hours, and the official chip counts will also magically appear on blonde at some point tonight.

I believe that Floppy is posting one last hand, but that's not my problem Smiley so until tomorrow, my friends, I leave you with the immortal sentiments of Phil from AWOP:

Big hand goes against Roberto Romanello right at the end.

He sees a flop against Glenn Ashworth. Glenn check/raises Roberto's 2,550 bet to 7,000 and then Roberto repops it to 12k. Ashworth now declares all-in and sits there listening to his headphones.

Roberto's talk tries to find out what he can, "I think you've got a set of Queens, have you got a set of Queens? I think you've slowplayed preflop and that's what you got, and I think you're going to show me if I fold."

Roberto folds and Glenn succumbs to all the outside interest, "You want to see?" He flips over for merely a gutshot.

Roberto doesn't look happy.

Play has now finished for the day, chip counts to follow. We'll see you tomorrow at 2pm as we play down to the final!
