adrian is a good guy, apart from dying his hair blonde obv. What kind of bloke over 40 dyes his hair blonde?Huh? Come on!

I would if I could. Have to settle for peroxiding my shoulder hair instead. FML.

One guy called me a "dunk"    ....      what is that (I'm not au fait with a lot of this 'pokerspeak').

Think he probably called you a 'donk'. A good example of this was seen at Luton last Friday.
I was involved in a blind on blind situation.
I gave the small blind every indication that I had his pocket tens beat but he could not take the hint.
He proceeded to try and 'donk' off all his remaining chips and flopped quads against my jacks.
This guy is a real donk. I'll point him out sometime...

Suddenly, it's High Noon on this thread.

I'd need an oxygen mask for the 'rarified heights' of a Friday Comp - too many top players & far too expensive    ......      the prospect of a thirty pounder tonight is almost sending me giddy.

Sorry !  Ithought I was making an original  joke, not realising you were aware of the hand in question.

It would be positively boastful to recount the tale of - having demolished Mr Weld On's stack - being outdrawn by Hereward the Wake     .....        leaving my good self with less than one BB - and scything through the field to finish 5th.

And all because Lucky got greedy with his Dad's BB     ......

Yes, my raise saved you - but I made a profit on the hand too!

Is this Gotch fellah a 'blondeite'?

From his results - he appears to cash at will - so, is he a pro?

I think I played against him in the Sunday Fiver a couple of weeks ago, is he the chap that looks like a rock star?

No - you are confusing him with me, & I was not present.

He didn't say Crock Star...

I do love this thread. 'should win a prize IMO.

Off to the G soon.

I will report on the excessive drinking, swearing and fights tomorow.
I will also report on the behaviour of other players too.

Hey Nirvana,

Enjoy the Hardrock.  My winter haunt when in tampa.

They have nl holdem CASH now..... I think max buy in is 100 bucks in the 1/2 and 2/5 game!!!! The dumbest rule i have ever seen. You will see people with 1k in front of them and all you can buy in for is $100.  I hope they have changed the rule.

The MTTs are usually 85 but they do have 500 once a month.

Hi Jeff, very mixed schedule at the hard rock - every day has 2 x $85 buy in tournies :-)

But tomorrow, they have a $200 deepstack so may last more than my usual 2 levels before implosion !!

Nice place though and $100 max sit down is perfect for someone with my cash game skills

Cya around soon

Luton G last night.....proof indeed that live poker is rigged.  ;-(

Luther - Did u go? How did u get on?

Richie - It is shame that u weren't there as your buddy SirSwearsAlot woz there, and he finalled despite drinking copious quantities of the G's finest lager throughout.

And finally I can confirm that there weren't any Rock stars on the final.

And another finally....Mrs Alien has retired.......again.

And another finally....Mrs Alien has retired.......again.

Indeed I did - my arrival was 45 minutes late, due to a Blue Sq 'leaves on the line' delay of coming 3rd in a PLO tourny - steady progress was made when a bozo - sporting on ipod, with wrist movemements for putting chips in that would have had David Gower beaming - doubled me up when he ran his overly bet pair of into my KK (his friend sitting next to me, informed me that he was such an "incredibly good player at putting the pressure on", but looked bemused when I said, "it's a thirty quid comp son, and your mate played like a Nob!").

I was finally undone when the deck chose not to give me a diamond to complete a flush, the turn and the river would have have just about given Chumpy a nut low pair     .....       this wouldn't have happened online - live poker's fixed!

So it's time to get down, and get dirty ,in the £50 turbocharged VALUEesque comp tonight!
