Have just added Bubbly Bluebird 100/1 1pt ew with bfred. A bit of a flyer but if it does run it can’t start 100/1.

some bets were restricted but I will just round up or down for ease of reporting

31 pts ew = 62 pts total.

Will be playing on bf outright when we get the declarations and once the rounds start. Will have to sniff out the value during the early rounds. So excited.

Brinkleys Poet done a track record yesterday to win the Gymcrack. Is the kennel mate of Rising Brandy. 66/1 avaliable for Derby.  Be rude not too.

http://www.gbgb.org.uk/resultsRace.aspx?id=2086714

From Greyhound star:

“Bought out of Enniscorthy after noted making late gains in a trio of races there, the son of Scolari Me Daddy has sparkled in the UK with four wins and made of the final of the Monmore Puppy Derby where he finished third behind his Derby-bound kennelmate Rising Brandy. His two victories here have been faultless, with runaway wins and the two fastest clocks so far in the £8,000 competition, with 27.26sec in the heats and 27.23sec in last week’s semis.”

Sorry Omm

Not been logged in here for a while. After that last race where I put him up, that bad crash caused an injury. He injured his hind leg, and subsequently missed 3 months. So he’s back Working now but the heats have come about 3/4 weeks too early for us. I see he’s still in the betting in places and we cashed ours out for full value with some, but a few sites
Didn’t have the cash out facility. Sorry for posting late but cash out of option open still on Mike. He’s recovered well though and will be a dog to follow in too company still. I’d expect to see him on the derby card in one of the invitational races. Very open derby this year and very tough to call.

No problem bud, as long as the dog is doing well that's all that matters. Goodluck in the future for him.

Astute Missle will not be defending the Derby title he won last year.

From Greyhound Star:

Towcester have cleared the way for a deal to be signed off to televise the quarter finals, semi finals and final of the 2018 Star Sports English Greyhound Derby.

The Northamptonshire venue have been attempting to reduce a six figure shortfall in the cost of staging the event, by asking the off-course bookies to pay to take the first three rounds into the betting shops.

Towcester would then ‘donate’ the quarter finals, semi finals and final meetings to SKY, for free, with the greyhound/betting industries (via RPGTV) sharing the production costs of the programmes.

With LadbrokesCoral agreeing this week to pay for the pictures to be broadcast into their shops, a chunk of the funding deficit has been plugged. However, as things stand, some other majors, most notably Paddy Power and Betfred will not be taking the Derby coverage in their shops.

Towcester MD Kevin Ackerman said: “As far as we are concerned, we are not holding up a TV deal for the Derby. There have been tough negotiations and I must thank our media partners ARC for their roles as conduits in making this happen.”

It now remains to be seen whether SKY and the industry brokers RPGTV can deliver a schedule in time for May 22, May 26 and June 2.
