To El Vipie, You, of the body beautiful, should know more than most of how cheesie will end up if he slouches for the rest of his life. Curvature of the spine is no joke! Was wondering when you would crop up again El Vipie, Reliable to the last.

Ha ha. Not so sure about the body beautiful Sid. Maybe a few years ago when I was regularly training but unfortunately I have lost my motivation to do as much as I used to.

Maybe you could fix my brain and get me back in to the old 7 days a week? It's strange how difficult it is to break a routine whether it's a good one or bad one. The brain is a complex engine without doubt and it is difficult to overcome what it wants (or thinks you want).

Yes I agree he'll have problems in later life if he slouches but in fairness that wasn't your original reason for questioning his seating position at the table. I believe it was more with reference to his ability to see other people's cards from this position? Maybe I'm wrong here and I apologise if your only reason for questioning his posture was a genuine desire to improve his health and well being.

Ultimately Sid I shouldn't worry too much about him. He obviously doesn't want posture coaching and to be honest he doesn't deserve it. He'll learn in a few years that his poker playing has caused long term damage to his spine and maybe he'll be able to sue the casino for not making him sit properly. He could do quite nicely out of it.

To D. Morgan, Skol Super QC and Mantisoi:  First a quote from Dickens: Cheap as Chips.
I'm trying to work out where you three are coming from, I note from your background info that you are all genderless, not suprising. I note that one of you has actually spent over 77 days in a coatroom. I believe you are all one and the same. I have dealt with multiple personalities before and the best way to handle them is to deal with the dominant personality which is in this case Mantiso.

Mantiso to prove that you are not a figment of your own imagination, you are welcome to the argument you seek, with the proviso that we can see the whites of each others eyes.

As for Cheesey, He laid his head on the table and laid himself wide open any kind of speculation. What kind of fool puts himself in that position to start with. I'm not out to ruin his reputation, just to straighten his back. ( expect some prat to come in with a sexual innuendo )
Cheezy is probably as honourable as you like and sends three quid a week home to his old mum. Who cares. I don't want to see somebody else's cards even by accident. That's why I don't sit with my head on the table.

The dominant personality. Yes, I quite like that. Anyway, be clear, the guy's posture could undoubtedly attract speculation about cheating and could indeed result in some future degeneration of the spine, but that is not the foundation of our debate. The point for debate is whether cheating was unreservedly the guy's motivation for adopting said posture as you implied. That is a matter of opinion rather than a matter of fact and thus unfortunately you have zero chance of successfully carrying that particular motion. Unless of course said guy admitted to such a motivation. As he has actually denied the allegation you have been awarded no points and will actually lose your first argument if you persist. In addition, if you categorize me as one of the bloodhounds or associate me with any other particular group you will be losing your second argument of the day.

I can confirm that Mantis isn't part of any group whatsoever. He tried but nobody would have him.

To all and sundry:  It has just dawned on me that many of the people I am in contact with here, have never sat at a live poker table and would not be able to grasp the more subtle implications of what was going on. This is a place where the North going Zak always finds the South going Zak. And if I'm not careful, I'm going to become part of the crowd. If you read Elias Cannettii, you will find that's a bad idea.

Hi El Sid,

I have just got round to reading Vicky Coren's book. I'm only an inch into it, in the first 20 or so pages there is a mention of how Vicky knocked a "Sid" out in the EPT that she won. Is this you ?

All the best

Mike

You're no cheat, just a fool to yourself.

I have absolutely no problem being thought of as a fool. So long as that isn't against the rules, I'm all good.
