What are peoples thoughts / experience / knowledge with regards to crime rates in London? More specifically North East, areas such as Hackney, Victoria Park, Stratford, as far east as Wanstead, Redbridge and Gants Hill.

Would people advise against getting ground floor apartments / flats? Assume they are cheaper for good reason.

What types of crime are the biggest risk in these areas? Obviously my training on the streets of Cambridge means I can deal with almost all types of crime with my bare hands, just curious really...

Another great montage, no many people could make a montage like that of there year. It would say England > Spain sat on a beach. Whereas youve been across several countries/continents with friends/family. What a life! Looking forward to getting out on some trips this year!
