I don't really understand why you've given up.

Post your results since you started. You've certainly had a successful 'career' so far. You've made money (I don't know how much exactly but I'd guess 15/20k?) and you've increased your roll and you've improved your game and temperament.

If you really feel that you can't handle the swings of the job then fair enough - it takes a certain mind to be able to deal with it I think, and it's not for everyone. But if you just think "Oh shit I've lost X thousand pounds in x weeks, better get a job" - then it's ridiculous. I guarantee you that me, Mitch and peejay have all had way worse downswings than whatever you're on at the moment (in terms of buyins and money) so don't think you're the only one this happens to. I'll find some graphs if you want to see them.

Also think about what you're going into - dealing 50/1 and bowl freezeouts in Genting is just going to be immensely frustrating, mind numbing and boring. No offence meant to the guys that work there - Richard is a great guy and working with him and the other ex DTD lot will be fun at times I'm sure. But remember how you felt about dealing at DTD a year ago? You'll have to work certain hours, you'll be on basically minimum wage and you just won't feel as good about yourself. Don't tell me it doesn't feel great walking into DTD everyday as a pro, playing the biggest game in the building, crushing it and winning a months wages in a night?

Perfectly natural to feel different being bust  out of a competition that has been so life changing and important to you in the past.I felt the same when I bust out of the Incredible Hundred.

The poker world could probably stand to lose a few pros. Cheers for taking one for the team.

Coughs lol, seriously it is nothing like DTD we had a glitch about a month ago but all the dealers like working there and they feel like its their cardroom. Nothing is stopping him playing the biggest game in DTD and crushing it, but probably a good idea to 100% be able to live and use his roll to play with knowing that the bills will get paid if the downswings start to hurt.

Very much this imo.

When you're playing poker recreationally, it does hurt when you're on a down-swing - but at least you aren't worrying about where the rent money's coming from.
