Sean,
i hope you take thus post in the way its intended.
IMO
it takes something very special to play poker for a living ...to live and breath poker to manage the swings involved i for one could never do it ......
i think you are doing and making a brave decision to go a work at derby.
i for one hope you succeed in whatever you decide to do.
i think your writing skills are amazing and hope there is something along that route for you
good luck.

Played the Incredible £100 at Dusk today. You probably figured out already that I'm busto, but there are a few positives!
- I made it all the way to level 6. Hold your applause.
- I left with as close I can get to a smile on my face; no whining, no feelings of contempt or disdain (possibly denial, though.) Lil Dave will be thrilled that he doesn't have to coddle me, Milligan will be gutted that I'm not angry at the world.
- I bumped into Lee during the first break, absolute legend, had even more kind words for me. Going to learn how to put up a shelf by myself in his honour.
- Met Nirvana for the first time. He was sat next to me for a while before I realised who he was! Really nice guy, full of compliments, oddly calming voice.
- My radar was picking everything up today, made a lot of tough folds. Got two streets of value with aces, then checked behind when I felt villain found la riviera. A lot of correct assessments, not many chips to show for it! I even wanted to fold my exit hand, which I will post in PHA. Obv this is a spoiler in terms of results, but nobody thinks I post unless I lose anyways.
Looking forward to folding some more big value hands in the £500. Until then, I guess I'll be grinding out the dealing career!

Rather glad you're saving your rungood for the 500. But a little more distane for your fellow man wouldn't go a miss tbh.

I was trying to relax in the sauna the other day, but instead of the usual white noise created by a multitude of non-invasive background happenings, there was a shrill squealing child whose wails resonated through the entire pool area and reverberated off the walls and surrounding surfaces until it became a striking pain deep within my head. It was like an aural aneurysm. Just before I stood up and staggered out of the room harbouring a range of feelings from mental anguish to irritation that a small child should be allowed in a leisure centre during off-peak times, I realised that there could not be a clearer metaphor for this diary. As such, I just sat there and endured the pain of the violent screeching until it stopped. Lesson learned.
In poker related news: does anybody want to buy 50% of my Sunday schedule @ 1.2? It will cost $87.72, include two SCOOP events and 19 micro-low buyin tournaments, and help a fellow human find the struggling poker player within.
Sold, somehow.
I'll have a few more of these up in future though for anyone who fancies a singular, standalone bead of a sweat.

I'll be playing the deepstack on Saturday, hence the lack of intensity in this sunday's line-up. I prepared it with the intention of making a day 2, as I have a worryingly Beany-esque day 1 exit record brewing, and I'd really like to make lildavefish some monies.

Would just like to clarify that I'm not part of his stable, he just showed up on my staking thread demanding "rest." Although if there's room for a donkey...
