Decided on my next challenge after this Sunday.

100 consecutive push ups by August 23rd (My 33rd birthday). Apparantley it is a very tough, but achievable challenge, for most people to do this within 6 weeks. I'll have a little longer than that because my birthday seems like a much better end point. I currently can muster about 20 pushups at best, so I have a long way to go.

To do it well, I'll need to keep my weight down, so it will remain a challenge on this thread.

I'll make a formal announcement with rules etc on Sunday, reckon I'll pay £3 for every one I am off by or someink.

Spending 5 straight years on my arse and consuming pizza and other crap has my body in meltdown mode. Used to be a fit boy, now borderline heart attack from a small jog. Weight isn't as bad as it can be so thats kl. Conscious effort not to consume anything other than healthy foods, eat less and exercise casually at the beginning and build it all up slowly. Going aggro with exercise carrying a bit of timber i am not doing because my joints are bad enough as it is. Bloody mess at 23 years old.

Will get there though. Back in August for a random update.

I think we will need a judge ... Hate watching people do push ups incorrectly !!

Yeah well I will address that early, I reckon I can do about 10 'good' push ups, and 20 barely acceptable ones. I may film it.

All should have to post before and after videos of pressups. We can also judge form that way! Even when I was really fit I don't ever remember bashing more than 60ish in one go.

If any of the other fatties get involved in this I will be game. I will be looking at £1 per press up off though.

Whilst in the daft and barmy I can't remember doing more than like 50
And that was a lifetime ago!

A more realistic target maybe?.......75?
After all....
We used to be fatties last week!

In before mr Russell says he can do 150 blindfolded with one arm one leg whilst multi tabling 27 tables on stars!

I used to be a push up machine. Could easily do 100 normal ones and 50 on each arm for singles.

Don't think I could do any now thanks to f**ked up right wrist. Might try a few and see how it feels then perhaps join in the push up fun.

100 by August 23rd seems reasonable.

Thoughts if I bin the additional challenge I set myself?  This would allow me to transition to a healthier life style instead of killing myself crash dieting just to try and donate the least amount of money I can. Maybe people could suggest a forefit challenge? one which isn't going to cost me like £500 as I am proper busto right now.

I have stuck to the original thread challenge although the way I did it wasn't the best.. (i lost the weight, put most back on and have just about got back to the -2 stone now)

Regarding the pushups, the reason I am going for it is I have always been pretty bad at them, rather than thinking I could get to 100. If I can bang out 70 or 80 by the end of the challenge I reckon I would be chuffed. But 100 sounds so cool and its a challenge lotsa people manage

There is even an app for it

Pretty sure I suggested this ages ago.

Just set yourself a more realistic challenge and stick to it and in my opinion it's fine.

If you sack it off then go out eating pies then it's a bit of a charity grim.

At this very second £60 but I plan for it to be £0. But come 9th July it could be like £200-£300 I imagine, unless I just stopped eating which was my plan..

Yea you did mate. I should of listened there and then and saved myself a tonne of heart ache. I genuinely thought it would be realistic but obv I was disillusioned.

obv I'm not gonna just sack it off and grim the charity, I do want to get healthy. What would you suggest would be a reasonable target?

Happy to do a forefit and film it or whatever for jibes, (rather not be money tbh) and defo want to setup a new realistic challenge!
