Ok using the gucci excel calculator a friend sent me I have managed to get some exact numbers and surprisingly enough I wasn't too far off with how I was eating the last few days.
My BMR is
2139At present I am sedentary so my requirement to maintain is
2567In theory to lose 1lb a week I obviously drop to
2067 and for 2lbs
1567I'm going to aim for a roughly 50/25/25 split between proteins/carbs/fats, if somedays carbs are a bit lower I'll just up the protein or eat some peanut butter
Anyway as above to drop 2lbs I need to eat
1567 which at my breakdown of 50/25/25 is
Protein
196gCarbs
98gFats
43gI'm not gonna worry if I go a little over that as I'll still be dropping weight eating what is said to be 1k under maintenance. Those are the guidelines and I've been quite near to them the last couple days anyway. Started off with a decent loss over the first week and a half so will play it by ear. If I'm not dropping weight by next week from the 226lbs then I'll twiddle with the ratios somewhat and probably lower the carbs.
Diet 12/01/12Chilli with 250g Mince
Chicken Breast 150g
Lamb Cubes 150g
Pitta Bread x2
100g Herring Roe
Choc/Banana Shake
1/2 Pro 50
Protein 205g
Carbs 91g
Fats 51.5g
Cals 1647
Made up a choc/banana mix protein shake that was recommended to me sometime ago and it tasted ace. Made it up using 1scoop Propeptide Choc and 1 scoop Tempro Banana mixed with water to keep cals down.
Off to Ireland next weekend for my works do at this gaff
www.dromoland.ie where there are loads of activities on including golf, clay pigeon shooting and obviously drinking. Given that I'm not really in condition to do anything on the golf course but drive the buggy and nobody is likely to want me getting hold of a gun I will mostly be participating in the drinking side of things

I'll weigh myself on Friday morning before I go and again on Monday night when I get home. Hopefully I won't have done too much damage but given the last time I had a drink was almost 2 months ago I'm not sure that quantity of alcohol will be a problem. The meals may well be though as the dinners that are planned over the 3 nights look pretty special!!
