I wasn't having a go at you per se, I just hate the question. Let people stay motivated, pose the question once they have lost some weight maybe

Oh, and I didn't fail and nor have I subsequently

So donk, Guy.

Simon's reasoning for breaking his cycle of bad eating is a good one.

I think these weird diets are all pretty tez but that's just about the best reason I can think of for doing it.

If Simon genuinely thought it was a good way to keep weight off rather than just lose it then Nirvana has just prompted him to think about that with a strangely non-trolling question.

You seem to be agreeing with me

Ish don't sink so

Just as I suspected, I put on about 4-5lbs over the crimbo break.

15st 5lbs 1/4. Goal is under 14st, so looking at 20lbs to lose.

Had an awesome curry last night with my mates, so wouldn't be suprised if I drop a pound as soon as I 'drop the kids off at the pool'.

The personal plan of action for me is:
- Go to the gym more. I have a personal trainer working out a plan for me. I will not be doing specific calorie burning exercises, the aim is to make the fitness goals about fitness, not weight loss, as I reckon that will make it easier to stick to.
- Increase the amount of water, fruit/veg, and high protein snacks I have.
- The only thing I will consciously deny myself is bread. This is my trigger food, it is very dense in calories, and it tends to make me crave more. Same goes for cornflakes and similar starchy cereals, but it is easier for me to just not buy those.

There you go, pretty simple stuff, which I think is achievable and will make a difference (Long term, the bread thing alone could do wonders for me personally).

Bit of advice from my old mucker Jared Tendler - plan out the roadblocks now. Everyone is super motivated now, but in a month maybe something is bound to crop up that throws a spanner in the works. Now is the time to try and work out what that may be, and how you will deal with it. For example, next week it is a mates birthday and he wants to go for a meal - so I have persuaded him to go Japanese rather than another curry.

Good luck Fatties, lets do this.

Siiiigh, my home scales say error when i step on as they max out at 24 stone, have asked around and most mate's scales max out at 20 stone or 23.8 (which seems quite random). Genuinely thought i would be under as i puked 4 times this morning. Alcohol related not bulimia..

Options:

A - Just weigh in at 24 stone (I think I am probs around 24st 5lbs so it wouldn't take long to get a reading)
B - Stand on one leg and post a pic claiming i am 23 st 10
C-  Go to the gym and hope they have a scale which goes 24+ stone

This, you will have no way of tracking progress in the early going if you do not have an accurate reading. I think all of us would be fine with you weighing in tomorrow at the Gym instead (But please do today if you can obv).
