TY ty, never really been away, just (to use a cricketing expression) playing down the bakerloo while everyone else arrived on the central.

cant help but think of that as a homosexual reference! No idea what it means!

Not sure how you arrived at a homosexual reference Smiley  In cricket, a batsmen that plays down the line off middle and leg and watches his off stump get removed is sometimes said to have played down the bakerloo while it arrived on the central.. (i.e. wrong line)

I borrowed a bit from that, but with no homosexual intent, to say that it was hard for me to get too centrally involved as I had chosen my own line (a ketosis diet losing 7lbs per week) while everyone else (mostly!) were on conventional calorie-controlled diets.  I figured that it wasn't really fair to try and gee anyone else up, less it be taken not in the manner intended.  It would be easy for someone to take umbrage at my encouragement if they had struggled to lose 1.5lbs that week while I had "cheated" and lost 9 lbs.

We all have the same goal (hopefully!) I just chose a different route to kick-start it.  Apart from a few pounds over Christmas to lose, I am pretty much at my target weight now, or at least a weight that is reasonable.  So 2013 I won't be going into ketosis, just getting used to the food/exercise mix to comfortably maintain my weight for a while, and then I will see how I feel and may try and lose a bit more once I have maintained a steady weight for a few months.

So you all still in bed fatties or maybe you haven't finished breakfast yet? Smiley Massive FML for having to do this again, should've taken more notice when you were all saying the hardest thing to do is to keep it off.

So today I am 15 stone and 4 pounds. My target is to be 12 and a half stone by December 24th 2013. If I do not reach this target I will give £250 to charity. I will be counting calories starting at 2500 a day and trying to do some sort of exercise every day as well.

Happy New Year and Good Luck to anyone else attempting the same, I'm off to do some squats.

Happy New Year to all, after some thought I would like to get involved with the thread. My goal is to erg (indoor row) a sub 7 minute 2k by the end of 2013. I am currently at 7:14 and you may say 14 seconds is going to be easy, well that's not the case and it's going to be a lot of hard work and pain to get to the magical sub 7.

Lee, am I good to get involved and record progress here? Do I need a forfeit?

Happy to record this if you do it at Diggers gym. Might even give it a go myself (in a few months obv), I know I have done 500 metres in 90 seconds so 2k in 7mins sounds achievable. haha.  Your forfeit should be something to do with eating as you will be the skinniest itt by far.

My target is to lose 6 stone by 01 Jan 2014. Equates to 1.6lbs per week. This very minute I weigh 23st 10 which is a smidge over 1st less than I weighed at this point last year but like almost 2st higher than my lowest weight of 2012. Not decided on a forfeit yet. More inclined to do humiliation/manual effort or helping community etc as opposed to monetary.

GL all.
