What happens if you buy em n go to cust service for a refund ?
Do they grab the miles back ?
I'd be pretty surprised if they haven't thought of that, the T&Cs state that you'll lose the points.

Haven't been vegas before, my close mates aren't into poker that much and have never fancied just going out there alone. However the lads are wanting to go over for some boxing this year, either ward/kovalev (June 17th) or a few other potential fights later on in year. Lads are on abit of a budget tho, was wondering where people would choose out of following; Luxor, Excalibur, New York New York, circus circus, sls and westgate.... they all seem to be in similar price bracket, location/value wise. Boxing tickets easy enough to buy before u fly I assume

June 17th is the EDC weekend, which is one of the more expensive weekends of the year, even before you take the fight into account.
If they're all a similar price, I'd say that NYNY would be my pick.
Got some good bars/food choices in the casino, and you're right next to the T-Mobile esplanade, too.

Lux/Excal/NY are grouped together. They are nowhere near sls+CC+westgate tho, which are loosely grouped at the other end of the strip. This is the perfect sort of trip to use trivago/smartervegas and let the price dictate. Why decide Excal when it is very similar to Luxor? Why not get them into a search and then if one is $800 and one is $600... there is your answer.
Boxing tickets are pretty stiff out there, depending on the contest. If they are die-hard fans, nothing wrong with that ofc. If they just "fancy watching it a bit" and are on a budget, could make a decent night of getting a table in a decent sports bar with coverage, splash a bit of cash on f&b there rather than paying $$$$ for a bad seat at the venue.
If you told me that all those hotels were exactly the same $$ each, I'd rank them NYNY-Luxor-SLS-Excal-Westgate-CC. But on that list, I'd throw in Linq too, and others might suggest Harrahs or Flamingo as possibilities. But in short, let the price engines tell you where to stay.

How flexible are your dates?? If you need to arrange fixed dates i.e. due to annual leave etc you may well find booking a package cheaper with the usual suspects (ebookers/expedia etc), depending on when you go of course. Much closer to stuff at Luxor/excal end then Circus/sls too

Easter sale!!
Only took a cursory glance as I am already booked, but looks like £750 cash fare or buy/use miles to get 40k miles for reward flight.
Only open for a few days.

Thomas Cook have some £250 one way fares direct from Manchester towards end of May (18, 19, 20, 21, 23 and 30th), not too shabby if people want to fly out for some/all of the series but unsure on their return date or want to keep the options open.

AFAIK you can run into problems trying to enter the USA on a 1-way ticket. Part of accepting you in is that you can prove you can leave on time.

Ooops my bad, overlooked this. Though from a quick search it appears its more likely to be the airlines stopping you from boarding rather than being turned away upon landing. I've landed in the States before on a 'one way' (but also had another single booked back with a different airline), maybe the airlines have access to systems that can see what you have/have not sorted?
Those single flights mentioned with TC double up as a £400 return if anyone fancies a week or 10 days or so in Sin City
Anyone ever managed it into America on a pure one way ticket? Only in New Zealand have I ever been asked for proof of onward travel, and you get 6 months there!

I was booked on a one way ticket about 5 years ago.
I planned to use my points to get a return ticket when my money ran out in Vegas, ready to fly back from anywhere on the West coast.
Was told I couldn't board a plane without a return ticket of some sort. So my plans were scuppered.

Any idea of your allowed to go to other casino swimming pools etc?
Taking the mrs out there this year and she is keen on having a few days around the pool to chill etc.... Would be nice to go to some nice pool areas?
Also is it best to book shows online before going or buying when out there?!

Think you might be able to use other Caesars pools, if you're staying at one of their properties, but not 100%.
I've always just gotten tickets when I'm there, as I don't want to be lumbered with tickets for stuff, and then plans change etc.
I'd recommend booking a hotel with a good pool, as I wouldn't want the aggravation of going to other resorts to use the pool.
