Ah! Didn't realise you meant the WSOP bit. Sorry.

Well I think he meant the WSOP bit as I'm not really sure why anyone would visit the "Casino" part of The Rio, the part up by Reception.

As you note, wifi is "free" to all who are staying there (free after paying Resort Tax), & free in the Convention Centre (the WSOP bit), but in the Casino area it has to be paid for I believe.

Some years are better than others for WSOP wifi.

Played the Daily Deepstack event and finished 50th of 298. Gutted as only 43 places paid! Great experience though, next time I’ll do the ME!

In a week or so, it'll have over 1,000 runners...every day.

Be worth winning then. Best to miss out today and bink it later in your trip.

Ok guys might sound like a daft one but ive had a search and cannot find any info (on blonde) for Prescription Medication. So i've got to take two different types of insulin which im sure wouldn't be an issue although it is by needle so how would I fair taking this on hand luggage? Another type of medication I take is for Pain relief and I have both Tramadol (Women slung in prison in Egypt recently for having two boxes, it is a controlled drug in the UK) and Oramorph which is a liquid version of Morphine (Oddly enough this is not a controlled drug). Of course im thinking I would take the very least amount necessary and also am able to have my Doctors prescriptions available. Any thoughts/Advice/point me in the right direction?

My old man's insulin/needles go in the hold, and he takes all his prescription documents with him, in case they ever carry out checks.

Can't see it being a problem, as long as you have all your paperwork with you, mate.

Ironic if the US gets funny about you bringing in a bit of morphine, given the gear they dish out like smarties.

Quoting this because it can be VERY IMPORTANT not to put your insulin in the hold. I have been told that occasionally where your luggage is stored in the hold can reach freezing temperatures, which will denature the insulin or affect its effectiveness in other ways. I am diabetic and I have two types of insulin with me when I travel and I always bring it in my back pack along with some needles. For 4 weeks abroad this can be 8 vial of insulin. I used to bring a letter from a doctor but from around 50 flights I have never been asked any questions about it. They have seen insulin thousands of times a day. Bring a prescription by all means but I don't even take it out of my backpack to put in the clear plastic bags. The other medication I would actually get the letter from a doctor though because that sounds risky.

I'll pass that on to the old man, and make sure he puts it in his hand luggage.

I'm lucky that I only have to take tablets with me, and get my proper meds by infusion.

Cheers for the heads up.

Yeah thanks for the heads up on the insulin.

I checked the offical website for the answer to the prescript meds. As long as they are in the original packaging with the doctor's label on and you bring only what you need for the trip it will be fine. I've got a print out of my repeat prescription as well.

Guys which of the Aria or Rio Daily’s are better to play:

Rio Daily Deepstack $250 ($48rake) 20k chips 30 min levels

Aria $400 ($60rake) 20k chips 30 min levels.

Will the Rio Daily get more runners hence a bigger prize pool? Also does the 1pm rather than the 4pm get the bigger prix pool usually?

Are the single table sats for the WSOP events paid out in cash or a ticket?

If you're just having a punt for a lumpy score, then play the Rio.

If you want an enjoyable venue and tournament experience, play the Aria.

Only played WSOP events at Rio, so no idea which has the bigger prizepool.

STTs are paid out in 'lammers', which can be used to buyin to WSOP events.

Not meant to be sold, but people will always be hawking them around the cashier room.

Agree with Marky.

Just to confirm, though: the Rio dailies have massive fields so that's the bigger score. Probably worth playing one there and one at the Aria so you can decide for yourself which you enjoy the most. The Rio's definitely worth the visit - it's got the sense of occasion about it, and it's the epicentre of the poker world, but it's absolutely nothing special in terms of the services provided - and it's always freezing. The Aria is (IMO) a far more enjoyable experience for poker (and food!) but it boils down to your own tastes & priorities.

GL Omm, and get the lot!
