they have 31 points. need 9 points from 14 games but probably fewer as 35 was the drop figure last year sunderland have 19 points and may not hit 31, newcastle 21 and maybe will, norwich have 23 and might not hit 35 Palace arent going down. finished 10th last year, are 11th this despite a bad short term run and have clearly progressed since pulis/warnock, despiter some odd decisions on strikers i get the newcastle/pardew stuff but there is such an obsession with the short term. he's a good manager, newcastle are in a worse place than when he left despite now spending millions. put aside all the sentiment, and neutral fans would have nerwcastle higher if he were manager there now |

What is this myth about him being such a great manager? Why is he the goat? If he is a great manager why has he always managed mid/lower table teams and never been given a gig at a top team? He seeks good going in and setting up a plan A bit once actual talented managers work out his plan his plan b is non existent. He has always done well at first and then severely suffered and this is shown with his current season at Palace too. Losing 5 games in a row at 3 different clubs..
His average points per game at Newcastle was just over 1 a game, In his last 2 years as Newcastle boss only one team in ALL four divisions scored less goals than us and that as a self destructing Blackoool team. We're seeing this again at Palace with their inability to score goals. His overall goal difference at Newcastle was -40!!! Good manager huh? His goal difference with palace this season is -4
Just because Pardew tells you he's a good manager doesn't mean he's a good manager.z I think he's failed at most clubs he's been to and been pushed out either by the board or fans at every stop. He has won nothing, achieved nothing, failed plenty and he has never been close to a "top job"

Steph gone from 125/1 to 4/1.. Big few days coming up, let's see how the producers try to spin it off. Maybe they could be in on this? Make people look awful, get prices up to 100+ Then make them a winner?
