Stat of the day, to distract from misclicks

Manchester United have conceded 1st goal in 11 of their 19 league games, come back & won 8 of them, & have a 7 point lead at the top

Never mind stat of the day, have you named all of those two Forest Teams I uploaded?

Wink

EDIT - OK, to save time, just name the Carl Froch All-Time Team.

It is less relevant now, but back in the day, Teddy Sheringham once famously said "there is no better sight in football than Man Utd at home, chasing the game".

He was right, too, though maybe less so now.

I love Man U as my second team (like Fergles, plus son supports them), but they are running massively over EV at the minute.
I don't know whether we can make money from that, but it feels like we can get after them a bit, in some spots.

Back row

Keane, Garry Parker, Wassall, Brian Rice, Woan , Brett Williams, Hodge

Second Row

Gemmill, Franz Carr, Chettle,  Sutton, Crossley , ?, ?, ?

Front Row

Nigel, Laws, Walker, Brian, Pearce, Jemson, Crosby

So I am missing 3

That was a great era for Forest. I was at University in Nottingham and went to see them a lot, helped by the fact I was dating a Forest season ticket holder with the most fantastic assets and I had ulterior motives to stand on the Trent End....

Wow, you could write a book or two of anecdotes about that lot, so many of them made headlines down the years for varying reasons.

Who could forget this one?

man united currently have the 13th (or close to that) "best" defensive record in the league

in the last ten years the league winners have had the best or the second best defensive record in the league

is this another sign the premiership is not as good ? Yes in my opinion

Frank Worthington tells a great after dinner speaker story about Shilton's gambling debts and the time he had to hide in the wardrobe in Shilton's bedroom in which he happened to be, completely by chance, one evening....

Rather unfashionably, I support my most local team, Derby.

Earlier in the season I made a few ££ by backing United when they went behind vs Liverpool, Villa, and the two games vs Braga. Got around 5-6 on Betfair each time.

Yesterday, having conceded first they were still <2.0 at Betfair...
I passed :-(

my old man played a round of "charity" golf with shilton maybe fifteen years ago

well actually as my dad tells there were two rounds the first of which shilton shot an estimated 105

(you can guess the rest)

In the pub between rounds he was desperate to get my dad to have a "friendly" bet with him on the next round (my dad is a 12 handicapper) Shilton being the gent even offered to play off levels.....

My old man has always bet and smelt something and strangely shilton had a late change of playing partner and won a few £ of him Smiley after shooting a 82.

stat of the day 2

Between Nov 10 and Dec 26 Aston Villa played the current top 4

They scored the first two goals, to go two up on Man U

They then conceded 20 goals in under three and a half games, without response

I know you're busy, TJ, but this chap deserves a spot in the Daily Pics:

He was born to play for Spurs.
