Not sure why "Peter" is favourite here - Popes refrain from taking this because there is a tradition that only Saint Peter should have that honour?  I'm going to throw some arrows at 50/1 shots  Theodore, Felix and Danyon for no other reason than I fancy a sweat with the evening news.

Regarding commuting - has anyone ever had a song in their head and then sing it out loud by mistake?  Happened to me on the tube this morning and I suspect I was labelled as a weirdo on the Bakerloo line.

Interested in the odds for an African Pope

a) Its about time

b) It's not as ridiculous as following Tal into arty-schmarty markets

Soon as anyone sees the markets pop up, lets have some fun

Afternoon all!

Just learned that Frank Ocean overturned a bigger odds deficit to win Best Urban Contemporary Album.

Right desert, wrong tent.

In before someone suggests Tal looking for an ocean in a desert is as apposite a metaphor as they come.

Daily Report as @ 0820, Monday February 11th

A profit yesterday of £81.50 takes us up to £538 this month.

The fickle mistrsess that is variance loves us right now, & that is 4 winning days on the bounce, possibly the first time we have ever done that. 4 days ago our February profit stood at £225, so we have enjoyed a nice run.  We have, for the moment, too, got our ROI north of 2.5%. We need to try & improve that, though, 4% would be more like it, I think.

£41 of of losses yesterday, just bits & bobs, were nicely balanced by two nice wins.

We had a small win (£12.50) on Tighty's "SIN-BIN" bet, that was a tremendous bit of value, & well spotted.

Camel, meanwhile, Mr Not Very Often, weighed in with a lovely 5/1 winner, which netted us £100. Bravo Camel!

We now have "Horse Racing" as a net winner over 93 bets, only 1.77%, but good to see.

"Mr Not Very Often"?

Do we need a new arts correspondent?!

Better to BAN all that arty bollox.

To be fair, if we had known that Ocean wore beads, we'd never have backed him.

Chompy and I have been trying so hard to get misc. in to its rightful number 1 spot and we keep getting sabotaged Sad

5/6 Eng most 6's Tighty, seems fair?

you'd think so

The number of six hitters in the England side (Lumb, Hales, Wright, Morgan, Buttler) exceeds those in the NZ side (Gupthill, McCullum, Franklin lower down and then not so much evidence yet)

Just a bit cautious of chasing total sixes on the overs. Once I replayed the game, I saw as I said earlier that around 7 of the 21 sixes were mishits that carried no more than 50 yards. Even at Hamilton those are out. So any quote at or above 13-14 is not going to be leaving a lot of room.
Spin were 12-13 for the last game and are 15-16 for this.

Quite like under 15.5 with Stan James but not @ 5/6

365 have the free bet in play offer for the Real Madrid v  Man U match, make a pre match game and get a bet to the same amount to use in game.

Did Fred do ok out of these when they last run?

"Mr Not Very Often"?

Yup.

Take it as the ultimate compliment. I was, if there is any doubt, referring to your Fred betting habits. Obv.

Far & few between is good for Fred, there simply are not "really good value" spots very often. The sheer scarcity of yours suggests they are generally high quality.

You wrote to me, privately, a while back quite pleased that you had pulled me back across to the dark side, but cautioned me "as long as you don't get to the stage where it mars your enjoyment of sports, or feel you HAVE to bet every day", or words to that effect.

I see folks on here who are desperate to bet on every Televised Event, & I wring my hands in despair, because I know they must be knocking it in.  Remember, I've been there, done it, & got the Sporting Index outfit.

PS - Delighted to see some proof that someone actually reads the Daily Report!

Thanks Graham.

Bet365 rarely permit me to bet with them, but if they allow me, I will.

Ahh, the return of Mr 1,000!

Welcome back Doobsy, you've been much missed. We enjoyed that £100 from Splash, though.

2nd T20 Hamilton tomorrow, 6am our time

Seddon Park. Very nice to look at, grass banks and foliage rather than concrete and metal

One of the smallest grounds in international cricket, though not the tiny straight boundaries of Auckland

- Fastest ever T20 century is at this ground, Levi 45 balls

- T20 Internationals at the ground. Scores all exceed 170 batting first, except Bangladesh game in their early days when they were rolled for 78

- Domestic T20 this year scores of 174-149-186-173-184.

Sixes quotes will presumably be ratcheted up. A quote of >14 is not to be played as

a) 7 of the 21 Auckland sixes were not sixes on a normally proportioned ground (mishits for under 65 yards, ie caught on most grounds)

b) NZ might bat first, and they are not the six hitters that England are

Better bet might be to go overs on first innings score, depending on where the market forms, and when it forms as placing bets at 5.30am isn't likely

http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/new-zealand-v-england/t20-series/new-zealand-v-england-%5B2nd-t20%5D/total-6s

Thanks Tighty.

Love "grass banks & foliage", cricket in grounds that are concrete & metal is just so wrong. Except for Bish-Bash-Bosh I suppose, where the spectators are probably too pissed to notice.

I'm taking it that we are saying "no bets" on tomorrow's game unless we hear further?

Fine by me, we don't need to force it, or give the bookies back the winnings from that incredible Sixes bet last week.
