1/5 1-2-3 in the Thirsk race confirmed.

Yup, CBB starts Thursday on [  ] Channel 4, X Factor can't be far away and I've got the winner of Can't Dance, Won't Dance on BBC1. So don't worry, I've got plenty to keep my me busy.

Out of interest, what will Chompy be discussing after today? Does dancing on ice start soon?
cbb starts on thursday I think

Surely that's too little space between the...err..great tv shows? Or is it just a clever way for Channel Four to keep the unwashed sorts occupied?
where have you been for past 3 years when channel 4 stopped showing it

Channel 4 kept the unwashed sorts occupied by sending them to Channel 5 LDO

Big Brother final tonight.

At the moment it's hard to see beyond...

1. Sam
2. Dexter
3. Gina
4. Fat and Joe
5. Charlie

Sam is now 4/6, Dex 3/1, Gina 8/1, Twins 20/1, Charlie 100/1.

There are worse 2/5 shots around than Charlie to finish fifth.

Charlie will get all boos, Twins mostly boos with the odd cheer, same for Gina and Dex, Sam mostly cheers with the odd boo.

I think the 7/2 you can get for the twins to be 5th is more value remembering its now vote to win not vote to evict and charlie has more fans than the twins and ahead in most of the polls over the twins I think it will be very vlose between them when the votes are revealled and nowhere near a 7/2 shot more like a 3/2 or 5/4

You place far too much emphasis on the polls.

Especially when they are vote to win polls.

The reason Charlie is still in the house is because she is an absolute non entity, nobody cared enough to vote her out.

She doesn't have fans/demographic that will vote for her to win, whereas the twins def do.

Granny vote for one, jedward type fans too.

The 2-5 available should be 1-5, tbh probs even shorter.

I'd lay the twins to be 5th at 6-4 for the absolute maximum and then some.

Stay off Strictly, Chompy. We don't want Tikay thinking ill of such a fine programme.

7/2 with Bet365 Ironside, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Al Kazeem's great-grandfather is Shirley Heights. Given the short racing career a horse gets, I suppose I was wrongly surprised to see a derby winner from 35 years ago so close in line.

If we want to get into bloodlines & the like, Shirley Heights may just have been the last Derby winner to be sired by a Derby winner (Mill Reef) & to sire a Derby Winner (Slip Anchor).

Pretty impressive pedigree, too, tracing back to Never Bend - Nasrullah - Nearco - Pharos.

To breed the best, put the best to the best. In theory, that is.

As someone mentioned FM in the thread today I'll derail slightly with a horse racing game mention. Despite never being that into racing I have poured a fair few hours into the various incarnations of this over the years - which includes a breeding system.

We also have SPLASH returning. I'd bet on it. In fact, we did, thanks to Doobs. BOOM.

superb game

im still playing version 4 now and again. The joy of getting a group 1 winning yearling winning a selling handicap at Southwell and in the same season winning the Melbourne Cup is hard to explain..

For a proper bet i'd rather lay 5-2 the field by backing Charlie in a one horse race.

However, for the sake of £2 you can have the 7-2 on offer with other firms if you want a bet.

Thus, my £7 to your £2.

Bet?
