Update on a couple of tips.

Bromley are now 6/5 favourites for the title in from 6/1 when i suggested it. Eastleigh are hot on their tails despite the points gap at the top, so it is by no means in the bag, but with the 17 points cushion from 4th you would have to hope it is for the place part of your bet. Both of the top two are on stonking form, and meet in late January which might have a huge bearing on who takes the title, it is on mid week, so I might get myself down to Bromley to watch it.

With Dulwich, they are now second. Into 9/2 for the title, from the 9/1 tipped. They aren't doing badly at all. Seemed to be able to pick out one of their dips for everyone recently with the Lowestoft bet, but for the league title they really need to be considered. They play some of the most attractive stuff I have seen below league football. It is beautiful, passing it short from the back, and the goalkeeper rarely kicks from his hands and always does a short roll to the centre back who, even when under duress from two attackers will just loop a ball over to a wing back for them to take it down arrogantly and push on from there. They are passing teams to death.

They become undone when probably playing on pitches not conducive to their style (probably why Lowestoft game let us down) or when a team are downright direct and hard into a tackle like Wealdstone, backing it up with real finishing quality. Still missing that striker to really get Hamlet going but they are currently relying on a 5'2 midfield maestro donned as the Ryman League Messi, who has scored 14 goals this season, Erhun Oztuhmer. If you get the chance to see them play, you won't regret it.

The place part of the bet is up in the air for top 3, but could be in a worse position.

Did we back these?

This is probably going to sound as one of the most Bizarre reasons to back someone but it does have to do with Vincent Tan so anything goes.

http://metro.co.uk/2013/12/29/vincent-tan-tells-cardiff-city-to-sign-players-with-number-eight-in-their-birth-date-4244721/

When I first saw this I thought it was a joke but it appears to be true. Seeing he is so hands on I was looking at the next Cardiff Manager market. Who is the only leading contender with an Eight in his Birthday.

Sven Goran Eriksson born 1948.

You can back him at 13 on Betfair, 10's with Coral or lay Ole Gunnar at 1.95. I've had a fiver on him at 16's and 14.5. Possibly the dullest bet I've placed this year but we still have a day to go.

Yea I heard about that. Apparently he pulled the plug on a signing in the 11th hour cos the player was born the year of the snake.

Bet looks good to me. After a storming month this comes into the fun side of things, with a genuine reason why it could scoop.

Yeovil v Watford

Yeovil 3/1 to beat Watford on NYD & using some very simple stuff here, but Yeovil hammered Watford in the same fixture a few weeks ago, shows they are more than capable of beating them. Perhaps neither team is playing well, but 3/1 on a team to win against a team they have already trashed, think it could possibly be a bet.

I do say though I am more than aware that it has happened where the previous result has been turned on it's head & it might happen this time!

However it's 3/1 in one place & Suggest £15

Yeovil were awful in getting smashed 5-1 by Huddersfield yesterday and are taking on a regurgent Watford. Not sure I'm in love with this one tbh.

Lordy Lordy.......

Given that sort of stuff, I'm pretty sure we should think about way of getting against Cardiff City generally. The mind doth boggle.

How do we know what other contenders do or don't have an 8 in their birth date?

If Fred does this, & Swinging Dick from Essex, complete with carpet slippers, or the bookie-loving Camel get on my case, you'll have plenty to answer for.

I have an image to protect, you know. LolShunter, me.

Yeah for sure, we've known teams to come back of a thumping to turn things around, not sure the Watford turnaround is much of a turnaround at this moment?

Of course Watford easily go and smash Yeovil 5-1 too.....

Sadly, I find myself agreeing with His Chomp-Ness here. Pretty sure we will see a string of results from Watford now. There was disquiet with Zola, but now the Team are playing for their new man, imo. All things considered, I think the previous result between the 2 is irrelevant data now.

For all the talk about Tan being a nutjob (which he almost certainly is) he has gone through 2 managers since 2010 which is a fair way below the average these days

Not that I recall, no, though I need to check, but I'm sure others did.

Ant puts some really good stuff up, he clearly has a great grasp of football, I wish he'd put more (non-Palace) stuff up.

Hurricane Fly, RPRs this year 154 & 165. Same two races last year 169 & 170.

For me Hurricane Fly can only get bigger or worse case scenario stay a similar price between now and the festival imo.
