One for Tighty to peruse and other experts.

£10ew Sergio Perez to win Australian GP with the bald guy that shares a name with the nickname for this thread. 50/1 EW terms 1/5 1-2-3.

We are effectively getting 10/1 the podium and I think that the Force India car, which seems reliable and has a Mercedes engine, is a lot better than people think with good lap times being shown in testing and it doesnt seem to fail that much! Plus Perez tends to do well in Australia from memory and clearly likes the track.

Just bumping this one for thoughts and dependent on our position in Australia.

Still the standout for the win bet and also, oddschecker has Perez podium finish at best price 7/1. We would be getting 10/1 here.

I like the podium finish bet, sorry I missed the earlier post

Realistically he's not the winner, but top three might well be an option if the place only is available

Can you please clarity what we ought to be doing here?

Just the place? We can get 7/1 generally for him to Podium. (Interesting grammatical construction, Tal will note, to Podium).

50/1 the win (one fifth odds, 1,2,3) also remains available.

In that case, recommend £10 Perez to Podium at 7/1 (Betfair FO, 365, PP, BV)

Thanks Adam.

Ignore my previous Post, we have got on "To Podium" @ 7/1 with BMU

Just found this.  Looked thru the last few pages and hadn't seen anything.  Could be of use to the thread

An absolute ridiculous offer from Bet Bright http://tiny.cc/BetBright30 That's an affiliate link as I'm not sure it's available direct

They're offering a £30 RISK FREE bet on the Imperial Cup & a £20 free bet for the first day of the Festival.

so you:

1. sign up
2. Deposit £30
3. Stick £30 on a horse in the Imperial Cup (3.15 sandown)
4. If it wins, great! If it loses you get the £30 back as CASH and can withdraw it.
5. On Tuesday they'll give you a £20 free bet for Cheltenham

Thanks Ryan.

Does anyone have any references for these Bet Bright people?

All I could find were these, which do not mean a deal in truth....

I'd rather know what they are like before Depositing.

BOD fans, Betfair sportsbook go 13-1 first try in his farewell to egg chasing testimonial against the Italians....best price 10-1 elsewhere PLUS they double the price for a second try n treble for a hattrick, £25 max for the offer. Car bonnet.

Ps gone under paul george points in tonight's Indiana game, he's playing terribley of late n has a dodgy back, ice packed after training, not for Fred but if anyone fancies a lil punt

Thanks Jeff.

We already have £50 on BOD for ANYTIME tryscorer (£25 @ 7/4 & £25 @ 8/5) but we've had another £10 on him now to be FIRST Try Scorer based on those odds, & the "bonus".

On the face of it, it looks a really good price, & Offer, but I don't know much about RU, so I just had £10. If others with specialist knowledge think we should have more, speak up.

This is with BetFair Sportsbook.

You should bet the maximum and find several husbands/wives who can do the same.

Marv, just had £10, & then saw this, thanks Vince.

Should we have a little more?

EDIT - We had the other £15, so we have the Max £25 now.

Sod it, the Max is £25, so we've had ANOTHER £15, BOD First Try Scorer, with BetFair Sportsbook.

Women's Tennis - Indian Wells.

http://www.oddschecker.com/tennis/wta-indian-wells/wta-bnp-paribas-open/winner

Angelique CareBear is 20/1 in two spots to win the tournament. Don't take less than 17/1.
She looks to have a decent draw and the number two seed Agnieska Radwanska is definitely struggling with form.
I recommend £20 with a possibility to trade later if we get lily-livered.

There are really no stand-out favourites for this tournament. Serena Williams doesn't play for (understandable) personal reasons and Azarenka has not competed since the Australian Open.
I expect Kerber to progress through two rounds with ease and then we can re-assess as to value for the tournament if she meets Ivanovic. Personally, I'd make her at least evens on this match-up - she has a higher ranker (6 v 13) although Ivanovic beat her in three sets last time.

Thanks Mere, but I seem to have missed the jolly old boat, best price now 16/1, & you stated "not less than 17/1".

Am happy to get on @ 16/1 if you think it worthwhile?

FWIW, I've had £20 @ 16/1 off-thread, so keep me Posted as to progress, please, in case I need to do some jiggery-pokery.

I shall stick some thoughts on the Tuesday handicaps when I get home Monday afternoon.

In the meantime, without any big write up, I just cant see any way in which Big Shu can be out of the frame in the Cross Country on Weds, and any 4-1 ew should be mopped up.

Thanks Adz, shall look forward to those write ups on Monday.

Big Shu - you do not state an amount.

For now, we have had £25 EW @ 4/1, with Wm Hill, but if you suggest  more, I'll go in again.

Let us know, please.

11 Mar 2014 - 12th Mar 2014 - Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Chase - Outright

Stake : £50.00 (£25.00 x 2)

Estimated Returns : £

The keen eyed amongst you may have noted that the forward book is now £4072, first time it has crept over £4k that I know of

That is a bit scary, &  really a bit higher than I'd like, but I would imagine a goodly lump of it is for Cheltenham, & I think it's right & proper that we invest on such occasions.

Hopefully it'll be back to around £3,000 by next Friday evening, & we'll have turned some of that investment into profit.

I am going to do my bit to get that 4k down.  There is a £5 bet on Messi to win the ballon d'or on the spreadsheet.  Think this went to Ronaldo.

Now about that press on Lewis Hamilton!

Fantastic, £5 off the bill.

Am working through the stuff in date/time order, so if the Hamilton bet is still to come, I'll have a look, if not, can you bump it please? I assume he drives for Mercedes, if so, I'll deffo get on, even though he is a thoroughly horrible little man.

Horrible little man? The ghost of Camel is alive and well.

I don't know what to do now you have mentioned the 4k, and we have been too slow again with Massa.   Given the state of the finances I don't think we need any more 5/2 chances over 10 months, so probably should duck Hamilton for the Championship.  5/2 or bigger for the Aussie Grand Prix might be better?  Tighty!

If you must back a Force India car, I am sure it should be Hulkenberg.  He is the better driver and is way less likely to do something stupid, but too late for that.

No daily reports the last two days as no bets have completed. The keen eyed amongst you may have noted that the forward book is now £4072, first time it has crept over £4k that I know of

The Hogan news is unfortunate, see above

Waiting for confirmation on Lyreen legend please
These bets:

15-Feb   BigAdz   Betfred   Mar-2014   Horses   Ryanair Chase   Lyreen Legend   33/1   14.2   £7.10 EW
10-Feb   BigAdz   Betfred   Mar-2014   Horses   Ryanair chase   Lyreen Legend   33/1   10   £5 e/w  qtr odds 1,2,3.
10-Feb   BigAdz   SportingBet Mar-2014   Horses Ryanair chase   Lyreen Legend   33/1   6.06   £3.03 e/w qtr odds 1,2,3.

do not appear to be NRNB or NRFB. Worth checking please tikay

Is there any reason why Lyreen Legend would be bypassing the Ryanair for the GC? Can't get home/won't stay in the Gold Cup can it?

These Bets currently remain "OPEN" with both BetFred & Sporting Bet.

He chirps when things go well, & blames the world & his wife, & anything except himself, when things don't go so well.

Not the kind of chap I would ever have children with.

Goddamit!

http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/members/rochdale/forum/105629/hogans-knee/#15.

If he's done a ligament we're in trouble, but we'd be punting on how bad it is if we scramble a cover bet on Winnall now.

Not sure Joke Choral would be too happy with the bet either if it turns out Hogan is buggered. Whatever, I can't get a bean on with those clowns.

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/league-2/top-goalscorer

If Hogan is out for the season there's every chance 17 will be enough to get him in the top three.

http://www.sportinglife.com/football/league-two/top-scorers

We have a hundo each-way, 1/4 1-2-3 @ 4/1.

If we want to have £110 to win £100 on Winnall @ 10/11, that'd be fine. Will leave it up to the gong polisher.

I cant find any updates on his injury, but in reply to questions on his Twitter feed ( @scotthogan92 ) he Posted "Absolutely gutted" 10 hours ago. Not good, then.

£110 "saver" on Winnall @ 10/11?

Seems to make sense to me, in fact if Hogan really is nobbled, it looks a great price.

Corals still go 10/11, & I can get £110 if I so choose.

Yes, no?

I've taken it for myself, anyway, but as long as Fred decides before the price goes, Fred can have it if that's what is decided.

PS - Good luck today. TIDMOF & all that.

Wenger has confirmed Flappyanski plays in goal today. Worth backing Everton at 18/5?

Personally, I'm not sure that this alters the correct price by much, if at all.
