Dubai

are we really running £150 against Man U this lunchtime?

dubai   ladbrokes   21-Sep   football   leicester v man u   leicester   5/1   40
dubai   ladbrokes   21-Sep   football   leicester v man u   leicester and draw   29/20   50
dubai   ladbrokes   21-Sep   football   leicester v man u   leicester +1   3/2   20
dubai   ladbrokes   21-Sep   football   leicester v man u   leicester dnb   19/5   40

I am sure the plan was to lay off but of course Falcao/DiMaria/Rojo and the thumping QPR win have happened since

Are we on Beardsley, then?

I was caught in a moment of weakness.

Ah well, good luck Peter, or as the man himself might say, mumble mumble mumble.

Great report as always Tighty. One correction though - Dover lost 2-0 away to Torquay. The Dartford loss was on Tuesday.

Ms Middlemass is better than that I think.

That was very ordinary and about the 50th example this year of judges looking like they're watching a world-beater when they're hearing something distinctly average.

X Factor edit has become very annoying.

Bad news for Vassell Golden Boot backers...broken foot in training and out for a couple of months Sad

Paddy Power have been running pretty good with their enhanced price offers lately (thankfully only allowed a tenner a pop):

Enhanced Holland Special - Holland to win @ 6/4
Enhanced Horse Racing Special - Leading Light to win the Irish St Leger @ 2/1
Enhanced BTTS Special - Arsenal and Man City both to score @ 6/4   (winner)
Enhanced Monday PP+ Special - Both Teams To Score - Hull v West Ham @ 6/4 (winner)
Sterling to score Anytime - Sterling to score Anytime @ 2/1
Lukaku to Score Anytime - Lukaku to score anytime @ 5/2
Enhanced Liverpool to Win Special - Liverpool to win @ 6/4

Yesterday was a classic, Liverpool 2-0 down after 7 mins...

Quick question for people who run spread sheets/algorithms etc. to predict Football results.

I've been doing one this season and now that the lower leagues are eight games in I had a few bets on what I perceived would be the most probable results. Obviously, hardly any of them came in.

I have just looked back on my picks though and here's what I had:

BTTS - 15/35
O/U 2.5 -  14/35
HDA - 11/35

I can't quite work out if yesterdays results in the Championship, League 1 and 2 were a bit freakish. For example, Sheff Wed, Doncaster, Port Vale and Yeovil all won at home for the first time this season. Likewise Watford and Shrewsbury both failed to win for the first time. Throw in fourteen draws and seven 0-0's compared to last week's six draws and four 0-0's, which was roughly the same the week before and I think I might have been a bit unlucky.

Basically, what would be an acceptable strike rate for you guys? Is BTTS 15/35 good or bad?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

BTTS is usually odds on, so 15/35 going to need improving.

Some late pre-race bets, hope you guys get on in time!

Top 6 Finish: Felipe Massa @ EVS - 11/8 with Betfair Sportsbook. Very good price on this, he has been quick all weekend. Recommend £10.

Group C (SUT/GUT/MAL/GRO): Esteban Gutierrez @ 5/2 with Bet Victor. Similar to above really. Sauber is quicker than Lotus, and Gutierrez has been quicker than his team mate all weekend. My one concern would be if he has the endurance to last the race distance without making an error, this track is the most physically demanding of the season. Worth it at this price though. Recommend £5.

Electronic fault with Rosberg's car. A crank of mechanics on the grid (not sure of the collective noun)

Not one for Fred, but might well be for many Fredites: paddy has a 20% acca bonus for 5 or more NFL games today.

Tito Wolff described the problem as "electronical". Smiley
